Lot's of new 50s -- anybody up for STF?
Lot's of new 50s -- anybody up for STF?

We've had a whole bunch of people hit 50 recently.

Anybody want to schedule a Statesman's Task Force for those who haven't done it yet? ^_^

Ick. Statesman. Ick. Once I hit 50 on Amber, and I'm in a masochist mood, I might be up for it. I'll let ya know.

Fren would be up for that

I've done the redside version with clank, and that was a lot of fun. A lot of debt, but a lot of fun.

The problem is... we need VERY specific things to beat the last mish.

Two Rads help a LOT. Especially if you have them both Trifecta the AVs you're fighting. You need to deal with Aeon and also Mako. I've never gotten any
further than mako because his AV regen plus his panic button MOG equals "poundin og him for hours and not gettign anywhere"

I've been on at least two of them where we literally smacked on Mako for two hours. We'd almost get him dropped, then he'd MOG, regen, and we'd
be right back where we started.

So we would need two dedicated Rad/Rad Defenders? (Or maybe replace one with a Controller with rad?) Yeesh...

Can Shivans be used like that? If everyone in an 8 man group pops one, would that help?

Yes. It's just problematic getting them. Also, you can TRY the TF with the options for no temp powers and no deaths. If you do, you get the shiny bragging
rights of being "Master of the Statesman TF."

Lessee. Wide can solo getting the Nukes with little difficulty during off-peak times, it's just the turrets in BB that give him conniptions for the shivan
shards. The problem with Shivans is that they auto die when their summoner does. Another point, make a tank leader so the Anti-Aeon temp power you get from the
Thorn Tree is on someone who actually lasts long enough to trigger it.

A valid point to consider: If you can't get past Aeon and his alterselves, you're NOT gonna do jack against the top tier Arachnos Baddies.

In the final mish, a decent team can kinda survive having Scirocco, Mako and Scorpion, all at once. My first States TF took all three on, and took out Scirocco
and Black Scorpion with little problem.

I can manage the Nukes in Warburg too, and for the turrets, just wack em all to an inch of death and then kill them all at once. Being Amber is at 47, I'm
not too far off. I'd join ya when I can. Although I dare say the States TF is 45-50 no? Oh, and you can't change leaders in TF mode (as far as I know),
so chose them in the beginning. The only way to switch leaders is all log out and have the 'new' leader log in first. Another thing, Moment og Glory
now lasts only 15 seconds, so thats not quite as big as a problem now.

First of all, while I haven't finished the Statesman TF on any character, my understanding is that
it's simply difficult to finish without lots of
debuffs, a good tank, and controller. This is by design. It would be, however, pretty unfair to say you absolutely need to have Radiation characters, or any of the above. It's just that Rad has the most reliable -regen debuff out there. The Kinetics
and Dark Miasma sets have small amounts of -regen too, but nowhere near what you get from Lingering Radiation.

Second...I'm not sure about that, Ankh. See, traditionally power changes for player characters have usually not affected enemy NPCs. Moment of Glory has been through several changes in the past
few years, and none of said changes have affected the version used by enemy characters (most obviously the Paragon Protectors). I don't have any concrete
knowledge here, but I'm willing to bet that Captain Mako still has the old NPC version of Moment of Glory, not the player version. Unless someone can
verify otherwise? Anyone know?

Third, all that said, Space Mage is now Level 50. She's a Dark Defender, and thus far more useful than my previous
solitary 50 - a scrapper. Admittedly Dark isn't the absolute best defender type for AV fights. But it's one of the better ones, I think. Let me know
time and place. I may need some help getting Shivans and Nukes though. I can do it solo on Space, and will if necessary, but I'd much rather
company.

I'd like to take a crack at it with Badb. I'd also be willing to help people acquire Warburg warheads or Shivans.

Tallying up interested parties, based purely on responses to this thread. I note we have a few other players with characters
in this range, but they've not expressed interest here:-

Logan - Cyberman 8 - MA/SR Scrapper (or Lora Doublet - MA/Regen?)

Valles - Brightsky - MA/Inv Scrapper

Render - Badb - DM/Regen Scrapper

Sweno - Frenetic Sublimation - Fire/? Blaster (I'm really not sure on Fren's sets)

Foxboy - Wide Receiver - Inv/SS Tank

Kokuten - Mag Flashlight - Ice/Ice Tank

Acyl - Space Mage - Dark/Energy Defender (or Syndesis, scrapper)

Ankhani - Amberlee - Mind/FF Controller

This is how a potential team would look, assuming everyone who's expressed interest here can make it. That might be optimistic - but again we do have a
smattering of other players with 50s who may potentially substitute.

Assuming this roster, though...I'm not sure how well or badly that'd hold up, but it's actually more balanced than our last rather fatal attempt,
as some might recall. Damage-heavy, but we have two tanks, some control, some debuff, some buff, some healing.

I suspect nukes and shivans WILL be necessary, but we were tending in that direction anyway, so that's not a huge issue. If we do this, I suggest a weekend
- a Friday or Saturday date is what I'd prefer, though my schedule is prob'ly a bit more flexible than others.

Tentative Min, since it looks like we have scrappers coming out the wahzoo.

If I miss it though, I'll just get on the next one. Or the one after.

Tentative Friday for me, Since Thursday is tentative pen and paper RP, weather permitting. Everything else has me working late...

Friday's good for me. Okay. Looks like we've got a tentative date and at least three positives there.

Myself, I'd probably want to grab a nap before we start, since it'll tick over into early morning for me, but
that's doable if we get some rough time set. Whatever works for most people. Hopefully we can get a full team goin'.

We HAVE to have a full team. We can't start Statesman without one. Also, they've stealthed in a thing where the mobs in a TF will ALWAYS spawn as
though your team size was the minimum to start the TF.

So even if we get folks to start the mish and drop, we'd still be facing spawns as though we were a full team.

Adding firepower

I am willing to bring Bella out if you need to fill slots. Although my availability on Friday night may be questionable.

It is a lovely amount of firepower though.

I'm quite aware the STF has a minimum size of 8. That's why I said I hope we can get a full team,
because if there aren't eight of us around on Friday, we'll have issues. That said I'm feeling quite hopeful. =)

Keep in mind, I should be able to add a 50 regen scrapper and either a 50 Emp/Sonic def, 50 regen scrapper, or 50 fire/kinetics troller...

hopefully. I may have pissed those ladies off something fierce last weekend.Wire Geek - Burning the weak and trampling the dead since 1979

Friday? I think I can manage Friday. And Acyl, you may note for the record that I have expressed interest. Of course Amber isn't 50 yet, but nearing on it
being close to 48. Either way, I'd be willing to give it a go regardless.

And Wire, I don't think Vyper or GG were all to pissed...

Badb is actually Martial Arts/Regeneration/Darkness Mastery... for what it's worth. (She also has Presence and Super Speed slotted with Celerity for
invisibility.)

Friday is not impossible, but it presents difficulties. What time are we thinking? I'm on the west coast, so I can be up rather late by east coast
standards. If it's too early in the evening I'll have to deal with traffic and possible family aggro.

Sorry guys. Friday is almost certainly no go for me, unless we do it -really- early, or -really- late. I have two PnP games on Friday night and Saturday night
respectively. First is D&D, the Saturday game is Champions. I can do this maybe Wednesday. Thursday is better. Sunday and Monday also work.

I might be able to move the Champs game to Sunday in order to make a Saturday run possible though.

Edit: Oh and Lora Doubet is Martial Arts and Invulnerability. And she's kinda gimped. I need to respec her if we were to do that. But my first choice at
least with you guys is to run C8.

Wednesday could work for me best during the week. Fri, Sat are clear as could be. The other days I'm probably only good until midnight EST
