speed run on ITF
speed run on ITF

well we seem to have gotten the ITF down to a science. And with a little more work can blaze through the crystal section.

but I am particularly proud of Decay tonight. She proved her 'TrollerTank status.
Myself and two other non-tanks (who I can't remember right now, will look at logs later) managed to hold off 2 EBs and their associated hords. Until the third showed up, then we got stomped.

but in the frenetic healing and debuffing I managed to snap this (click for large version):

The others would be Kyoumen on Bitter Finish, and Duckly on Drained Soul. While the Tanks were out bashing on the Crystals, most of the Ambushes went to the
rest of the team. (I got at least 2, that I had to evade)

Thanks Ankh for the IDs, digging through my chat logs would have been less than fun.

But the next time we do an ITF I suggest that the tanks (or those that can solo the crystals) book for them. And everyone else hang back near a little ways
from the door.

If the three of us (myself, Kyoumen, and Duckly) can hold off 2, then 4 or 5 can probably kill them fast enough that 3 EBs at a time doesn't happen.

I'm hurt. Y'all forgot about Bill. Who, granted, spent a lot of time dirt-napping, but he was there for that epic awesomeness that was Sweno,
laughing in the face of overwhelming odds and getting away with it.

He is Sir Not Appearing In This Photo because I believe, at the time this was taken, he was in one of two places: either behind Decay by about 20 feet, lining
up for a Rain of Arrows; or behind the curve of the wall in the background, about to lay into the @#@#$@ Surgeon who kept healing everybody. (You can see the
bugger doing just that in this pic, actually. HAET SURGEONS!)

And yes; Sweno tanked them for THAT LONG. Bill died, hosp'd it, and came back twice while Sweno held the suckers.

Sorry spud, I honestly didn't know where Bill was.

I couldn't see him, then again I didn't know where a lot of things were that I could see.

I was too busy trying to stay in the AOE of the rad debuffs (seen around the cyclops) without letting 2 EBs and several Praefectus pound me into a fine paste.

Because it doesn't matter how nice rad is, they can still hit you when they are EBs spawning at +3 to the mission level, and you are at 2 below that (but
the xp is very nice).

Tactically speaking, how can we improve on the Crystal mish speed run?

Tactical improvements on the Crystal mish... hmm.

Well, I'm not sure exactly, but I did note soemthing interesting. Even an un-slotted Invisibility seems to be strong enough to waltz through the mobs with
ease. I did that with Bill at one point, dropping stealth at the end when I found Emet to assist with dropping the crystal. Didn't work out so well for
Bill -- he got off 1 RoA and a few regular shots before being swarmed by Dark Dwarfs and such.

But point is, he breezed right through a metric buttload of Romans on the way there, and not one of them appeared to notice him.

I've got this niggling idea of maybe a stealth porter approach. Stealth porter goes out, finds a crystal, ports a tank to it to drop it (and probably gets
dropped himself); tank tackles crystal while porter moves on to find the next (gets port-rezzed or hosps if necessary). Group waits by front door and handles
ambushes as they come. Now the cool bit: as soon as the tank drops the crystal, the porter zaps them to another. So, no need to wade through the crap in
between, no dragging aggro (besides ambushes) around everywhere you go.

If you have enough stealth porters -- or porters that can BE stealthed, aka Grant Invis, for example -- and enough tanks, you can clear multiple crystals at
once with this method. A decent group can drop the ambush spawn before another shows up, and can hold its own even if two tanks are working crystals
simultaneously. It's when they get spread out or hit from two sides that things get ugly; therefore, stay by the front door where there's that one
single chokepoint that the spawns will have to roll through to get to you.

Thoughts?

I like it.

If we can get a Terrence and a Mag, I do believe we can has Brae stealthport us. Alternatively, a Terrence and a Quicksilver, with Brae and Pooky on port
duties...

Add Bill to that list, as I plan on respeccing him to have Recall Friend (dropping the Medicine pool, because, well, yeah.) And for concept reasons he already
has Stealth and Invis.

Brae would need to pick up Stealth and possibly Invis. All I have on her right now is the TSM +Stealth IO in her Teleport. While it is helpful to make choice
teleports around an area, if you muck up and drop into a mob you're dead meat casserole.... While she -does- have Phoenix, I don't think that would
help on the stealth front. I'll probably respec her sometime soon or when i13 comes out, and trade out Combustion (Wimpy PBAoE DoT) for Stealth. That
should provide enough sneaky for her.

Also, Emet could avoid most of the Aggro in between crystals with his Teleport, the problem comes down to when I have to take on them Crystals. All the
Unbound Nictii fluffies shoot out little bolts of pure hate and -Recharge, so if I don't have some sort of Slow Resist (Speed Boost, Ard Boost, or
somthing) or a few purples to nom I'll be attacking reeeaaaaaalllllllllllllly slow towards the end of the fight, with an average of -200% Recharge.

Quicksilver with her SS and CelerityConfusedtealth can stealth to the crystals without needing a port as well. I may have to look into getting her recall friend
eventually to help with stealth/porting duties, depending on how the APPs are changing (If she looses her laser beam eyes, I'm gonna sob! That's now
her signature attack IMO.)
