A simple question for everyone with heroes on Virtue (or even villains who for RP purposes spend a lot of time in Paragon): can you sing? Or have you been
given a restraining order forbidding you from approaching within fifty feet of a karaoke mike? Smile

I just came up with a combination possible-future-fic and song power idea for Doug, you see, and it's kinda epic...

Reyshal sings quite well. (Its part of her spells, you see, and she enjoys it outside of work, too.)

Anarakkis can sing a few Arabian songs, but is disinclined to others.

Other than that, no, not really.

Lady Nogitsune and QB Kitsune are VERY good at singing, and both can play classical acoustic guitar, as well as the full range of traditional Japanese instruments. Similarly, Chiyuki Inari/Gloom Sabre has the training, if not the talent currently.

Emi Arizona/Ysrafel is exceptional at singing, due to powers, and inclination. Heck if YOU had Megumi Hayashibara's voice, wouldn't you have some sort of talent for singing?

Wide Receiver and Minerva Heisman are more along the lines of "enthusiastic" than talented, mainly because they have deep voices and try to sing songs out of their ranges.

RillyRillyBigMan: No. Just, no.

Mother Meyai is good and creeepy at lullabies, but her manic twinges make any sort of love song disturbing to listen to.

Arbmu would be okay.... .sdrawkcab klat t'ndid ehs fi ...

Mag _can_ sing, but he sings in a rather high register, and his armor can't _quite_ recalibrate his vocal transducer to shift singing down into the expected 'gravel' register.

Pooky Actually does a half decent Freddy Mercury lineup, though his repertoire is limited to Queen songs, or songs referencing women.

Roy has no musical ability. At all.

Lost Has never been asked, nor tried. You tell me if she can sing or not.

Brightsky can carry a tune, but has the kind of voice that's really only suited for things like punk rock - soprano, kind of sharp and grating. Mostly, though, she's a drummer, at the 'decent/good amateur' level.

Valles is a mezzo-soprano with an ordinary sort of range and what she fondly imagines is a good instinct for pitches but no formal training to speak of. She doesn't sing in the shower, but often chimes in along with a radio or CD.

Themaria Dist has absolutely perfect pitch and timing, for much the same reasons as Emi, but has pretty much minimal interest in music as art or entertainment.

Sachie Hanagawa/Mace Sabre can be safely assumed to have extensive vocal training and be competent-to-excellent with any instrument you care to name. Judging by her speaking voice she's either an alto or actually a tenor. She's also got deep seated Family Issues about any sort of artistic performance, so good luck getting any of those demonstrated.

Fissionette is garage band frontwoman or guitarist material - she plays, and sings, all heart, no science.

Lora'Lai actually has some... interesting background in musical training. Her Kheldian half in one of hir past
lives melded with a host who was quite a good singer. Her human side didn't sing very much, but played instruments. Mainly guitar and... flute, oddly
enough. As she is now, she can do some really ODD things with her voice, based on her knowledge of field dynamics and energy. And sometimes when she's
concentrating on something else, she'll hum. I mean HUM. Like an electric hum at weird cycles...

Anyone wandering the base late at night when she's in the computer interface of the base editor and wondering where the heck that cross between a theremin
and an vocaloid was coming from? Now you know.

Cyberman 8 can carry a tune. And has even been roped into karaoke at times. But he really has no interest.

Kara Skye has a sweet, very strong voice. Think Kate Bush. She doesn't have perfect pitch or anything, but
she'd be a good singer if she was trained.

Lily the Diamond has a very interesting voice. There's a slight reverberation in it, and if she sings at the right
note she can hit resonance with her crystal body. Which can produce some odd harmonics.

Dr. Steven Fayte is merely a gifted surgeon, and nothing more... No. Really.

Shizuru can sing, and did at the Kareoke party (She spent a little to much time around Mai). Though she tends to sing
random J-Pop songs as her counselor when she was learning to control her powers, and NOT regress into Kiyohime-levels of crazy, suggested it as a hobby.

Plasma Sabre does sing, just off key as she never had any formal training, or the inkling to even attempt it on
Genaros, but here, well she does live with Shizuru.

Mistress Valeria can, does, and often sings. They just tend to be very inappropriate songs for public listening.

Chaplian Extermanus no, Space Marines do not sing.

Psychic Emission does, but not very well. Most the time its peer pressure that gets her to, though she would like to
learn. Her only requirement is that her friend does not find out.

Sailor Midchilda refrains from being anywhere near a situation where she may sing. Signum beat the urge to do anything
of the like out of her during Mid's training.

Namoru Hayataki / Namora Hayataki sings good as a guy and excellent as a girl. Has a little problem with singing in
English at the moment, but this should settle down in a month or so.

Aiko Kitikami sings almost if not as good as Namora. Seriously, if they had wanted, the two could have become a J-Pop
duo back in Japan. Also having a little trouble with singing in English.

Seiji Hayataki (Nam and Aiko's son from the future, who is currently in the present for person reasons) has never
sung. While his sister sang all the time, Seiji prefers reading a good book to making an idiot of himself with a microphone.

Real Patriot sings decently, but his repertoire is mostly martial songs he learned in the Army.

Patri-ette has Fusionette's pipes, so has the raw ability to sing as well as she does. Like Patriot, her repertoire
is limited at this time.

Weefleboy has never been heard singing. Ask Oroborous. Other than some random song lines Weefle has never sung
anything. Not now, nor in any other time zone.

Sailor Krypton has the raw talent for singing, but no real training or practice.

Paraforce Pink - No. Just no. Shatter glass no. Bleeding ears no. Fran Drescher no. DEAR GOD NO!

Grunge Saber IS 2040's Priss Asagiri, the Japanese one. So sings like Yu Asakawa. However, due to the still fresh
trauma of being seperated from her friends, she hasn't sung anything of late.

Sabre Mercury sings okay, but would be too embarrased to do it in public unless the other Sabre Senshi pressured her
into doing it. And then she'd more than likely stammer a lot.

Secretarybot contains a model PTAV2700 Audiovox capable of singing any audio range from Soprano to Base and beyond.
Program her with the song and she'll go to town.

Transfusionette has the Fusionette pipes, but hasn't shown any real inclination to sing.

Dark Fusionette has the Fusionette pipes, but would tend to punctuate any song with peals of insane laughter. Think a
song sang by Kodachi Kuno.

Fusioner can sing, but might be aftraid of looking as girly as his new "sisters" and therefore will pass.

Terrence Knight: Probably won't go near a stage unless cajoled into doing it by Gamma Emission and/or Emerald Blast, has a bit of nervousness up on stage,
but if you can get him to start singing theres not much skill but there is enough natural Talent that he won't really shatter glass or have tomatos thrown
at him, what he does have is FEELING, once he loosens up enough dureing the song He's actualy pretty good, Is likely to sing something lighthearted like
'I'm going to walk 500 miles..' Or possibly something from metallica

Numero Catorce - Untrained and enthusiastic. Karaoke-grade singing.

Binary Pulse - Given that she sounds like Raven from "Teen Titans" run through an electronic voice modulator, probably not.

Purrfect Cut - Shiko has some training in Noh, enough to do a passable job. Probably unsuitable for other styles of music, though.

Kaze no Kage - Surprisingly, yes. As a kami of the air, she has an affinity with sounds and music. She is an unparalleled mimic, and has
perfect pitch.

The Honest Gentleman - An appreciator of music, but untrained.

Baron Bedlam - A personification of the noises of pain and destruction. Trying to get him to sing would result in windows shattering, speakers
exploding, eardrums rupturing, cattle going barren, milk souring, and psychics suffering from nightmares. He would be pleased, but it's unlikely that
anyone else would be.

Polly Calypso - Untrained teenager. Likes salsa and Top 40.

Captain Iron - Doesn't normally. not a bad voice, just never took lessons

Speedway - Equivilent of typical sing-with-the-radio teen

Lady-Iron - Should be outlawed in all states and dimensions

Crimson Arrowette - A beautiful, natural voice (Is there nothing she can't do?)

Aiya - While she cannot actually form words, she can sing in tones/pitch that are almost heavenly. Operatic in a way.

Evangelia: Untrained soprano, who still manages to sound pretty good
Beach Baby: Completely unable to sing, but has a hum that sounds like a glass armonica
Sailor Null: Breathy contralto (imagine Marilyn Monroe about half a register lower)
Looney Toons: Pleasant tenor, able to carry a tune nicely.
Nameless Terror: Sounds like he ought to be lead singer for Rammstein
Tokiha Mai: High, squeaky j-pop sound
Some Random Schmuck: Can't carry a tune even in a bucket
X-Ray Ted: Might be a good singer if he didn't always try to sound like Barry White
Halo Kitty: Surprisingly good alto

Egads. Let's see here.

Emerald Blast: Rhea can't carry a tune in a bucket solo, but give her someone to sing -with- and she does pretty
well. Not lead singer of a band quality (not even a garage band, heh), but backup vocals? You betcha.

Flaming Wreckage: He'd make a good, solid choir tenor, if he only knew it. And man, can this boy -project-. But
he's a bit on the loner side and really only sings along with the radio, mostly.

William Bishop III: "Ah don't know but Ah've been told, this hero biz is getting old!" He's got
a drill sergeant's voice, and singing to him means he's calling cadence. That's about the limit of his singing abilities.

Kyriel the Fury: a truly amazing voice. Mesmerizing, in fact. Too bad it literally IS -- she's related (by magic,
rather than blood) to the sirens of old; her talent is magical in nature and when she sings it's REALLY REALLY hard not to listen, enraptured. Since
she's an avatar of a spirit of righteous vengeance, it's a weapon more than a hobby, and she refuses to use it just for fun.

Nano Sabre: Sylvie's voice is untrained and raw, but she sang a bit for fun with Priss back in the old days and had
fun doing it.

Illusionestra: stage-quality. She's -good-. She has some formal voice training and that, coupled with her natural
voice, makes for a good-but-not-excellent singer; she made a living in Vegas as an entertainer, as it happens, using her voice and her illusions to craft a
show that had a decent following. But she's not quite good enough yet to break into the big time, and besides... she was tired of the glitz.

Purrfect Scrapper: erm. It's unknown if Sammy can sing, really; she tends to get a bit excited and her delivery
speeds up and before you know it she's singing along with Caramelldansen and thinks they're too slow.

Katy Kaboom: she likes music and all, but she's more into making it with synthesizers, drumkits, electronic
post-processing effects, and the piano than actually singing. Her voice is decent but she's not really into using it, and it shows.

Ruff Enuff: if you could get him to sing ("There's a milk-bone in it for ya! C'mon, Ruff! Okay, how
about -two- milk bones?") he's actually pretty good. But c'mon, he's spent the better part of his life getting kicked around by everyone; he's rather on the shy side.

Buffer Overflow: she's an excellent singer, and in fact just finished the lead role in a local musical. It's
all part of the persona, you see -- she doesn't -like- singing, but it adds depth to the character. Jessie Blanq, the local artiste, is a good singer, an
excellent actress, and an all-around friendly sort who's a bit on the bubbly side and just wants to make it big someday. Jessica Borden, on the other
hand, enjoys nothing more than seeing her evil plans come to fruition... and Jessie is just another mask to help her along the way.

Quicksilver Nano: She can sing, if she hears somebody else sing first. And she will sing it with the exact same inflection and tone that they sing the song
with. Think of her as a super advanced recording device and you'll get the idea.

Purrfect Arrow: He doesn't have the best voice, and probably wouldn't be caught dead on a stage, but he'll sing in small friends and family
settings.

Riposte Sabre: Can't hold a tune, but enjoys music. She's one of the roadies Smile

Psyren Melody: Has a gorgeous voice, seeing as she's the direct descendant of a mythical Siren. Can literally sing anything, and she can entrance using her
voice but has it under conscious control and doesn't do that if she just wants to sing.

Rose Sabre: She might be able to sing? She'd be too shy really to sing much though.

Shia Arisa Plenilune's magic is all used by singing. As far as singing normal songs is concerned, her stamina is effectively limitless,
and she can sing multiple vocal lines simultaneously. Learning the words could be the hard part though...

Mirami, much like Secretarybot, is capable of making whatever sounds are necessary via software. She prefers singing in her "normal
voice" though. (She also gets a bit cranky when people ask her to do "Still Alive".)

Alexis Morgan: Has a decent voice, but no training whatsoever. Mostly just sings along with things she likes, and doesn't really care if
she gets half the words wrong.

-Morgan.

Inyme W'tin - Can actually sing fairly well. Her natural range would make a singing coach weep, as she can
basically hit the highest of the high notes and the lowest of the low notes with equal intensity without even trying. As for training, she's had none
whatsoever, but you wouldn't know it if she ever got on stage: if anyone in the crowd had seen the song sung or
performed, Inyme could do a passable imitation of it, even if only she(and maybe any curious telepaths in the crowd) would know that she was "singing
along" with someone else's memories. Inclination, however, is the tricky point. Alice could probably convince her to, but just about anyone else is
unlikely to get her to admit she can or get her to agree to do so.

Twilit Blade - Classical singing training as befits her former high society background, with a nice sopranno range that
can occasionally go a little lower. However, that's choir and recital training, and Lynna's far more inclined towards rock, techno, and metal.
Enthusiastic and loves being the center of attention on stage, so she's obviously not hard to get there.

Sell-Sword - Knowing him, he's had training for a job sometime in his indeterminate former mercenary days, or just
last week. You'd never know by asking. Inclination to do it at a social function is about nil though. Well, unless you wanted to hire him for it.

MACH Mk. II - He has a voice like ED-209, and HE-AT hasn't yet been able to scrape together the appropriations
budget to upgrade it. So, yeah. No.

Alicia of the Flash - Beautiful angel's voice, natural talent, and she genuinely enjoyed doing it...once upon a
time, anyway. Nowadays, someone'd have to make a concentrated effort to pull her out of her shell before she'd exhibit that sort of thing.

Binary Fusion - Fusionettes may have the pipes as a class feature, but Binary's not got the training or much
experience. Her repetoire alternates between old pre-war pop songs and a variety of very bawdy and uncouth ballads that she picked up in Basic. Probably good
at karaoke, though, as she'd definitely be enthusiastic enough.

Dosvydanya - Actually very good. He's a deep tenor bordering on
bass, and he's very good at a variety of Russian traditional songs. If you're thinking of that one scene from Hunt
For Red October, then you're on the right track. He's also friendly enough to be willing to drag the old stuff out.

Rift Zone - Enthusiastic and no training whatsoever. Your usual karaoke singer.

Falling Angel - Her nature kind of requires it, much like Emi and Themaria, but there's something....off about her
voice lately. Also, she's not exactly the social partying type. Traditional stuck up, duty focused Malakite.

Cyberwoman 10 - Good voice, and some training, actually. At least, she must have had it, given her skill. She
just...has no memory of when that would've happened. Friendly enough, though.

Intoxicat - Assuming her powers stayed under control, she's actually a good singer and enjoys it. It's just
that...well...the front row might need gas masks if she gets too nervous.

Silicon Sabre - Decent voice with range, no formal training, and not really much inclination to casually get up on
stage either. She's not much for spotlight.

Net Sabre - Enthusiastic, has no concept of the term "range" though her audience might wish she did, and
always willing to jump in feet first.

Edge Sabre - Roadie, not lead singer, though enough friends jostling at her to try might discover a nice, if rough and
untrained, voice.

Demolition Sabre - Tenor and no formal training, but Allison's neither exceptionally enthusiastic about singing nor
exceptionally against it. Could probably persuaded to "just try it once" even if she's never done it before.

Sacae Sabre - Lyn's actually got a good voice, decently trained skills, and no idea where her mental repretoire of
almost tribal/Indian sounding songs came from.

Detective Wong - Can't carry a tune to save his life, but he'll try if you let him. Direct contrast to his
partner who'd rather not but actually has a good voice.

And the only songs they know well enough to sing are drinking songs. They limit themselves to humming along to the radio otherwise.

HE-AT Has perfect pitch, and could probably do a decent job if it weren't for her more annoying verbal tics.
Could replay a recorded song, but that's not really singing.

Albumin No training, that she remembers. Might be ok, but hasn't tried.

Signy Volsung She's a Wagnerian vikingish sort of person, of course she sings, but mostly opera.

Sister Tiamat Decent singer, doesn't bother too often.

Steirnhelm Wouldn't get a recording contract these days, but won't cause ears to bleed. Knows mostly troll
folk songs from her home dimension.

Misao Kagetsuki can sing, moderately well, but is not spectacular at it. On the other hand, she's good enough with several instruments to play along with Sachie's singing. The idea of Misao, Sachie, and Inari starting a rock band is ... amusing.

Tachiko has a very nice speaking voice, and a little training... but still can't carry a tune in a bucket.

Freefall Sabre has all the default 33-S 'entertainer' programming, and thus can do very well. She just doesn't like to all that much. Especially not love songs.

Ayanami Ichi See above entry for 'Emi Arizona'. ("Hey sis! C'mon! We gotta go crash Paragon Idol!")

Alouette d'Aubainne has one of those slightly scratchy, smoky voices that would make a great lounge singer. Getting her to do so without shooting the audience requires a certain amount of financial/alchoholic lubrication.

Pyetra ... sings only hymns of praise to whatever Elder Evil she sold her soul to to get her job at Dark Heart High.
