Progress Update
Progress Update
#1
Just to let folks know this story is still on track, despite the slowdown caused by my mother's passing and all the work managing her estate which landed on my shoulders afterward. This is an informal announcement that chapter 1 is done, save for any fixes I may still need to make on one or two continuity issues about which I am still not certain. Chapter 2 is almost complete; I am just slightly hung up on the battle at the end of episode 3, which is the climax of the chapter and goes rather differently from canon. Getting it all to work out right is a bit of a juggling act.

Once these are taken care of and I finally clear some FTP issues up with my ISP, rest assured, DWS will appear on my website.

C'mon c'mon c'mon just post it already and retcon later.  Worst case scenario, I write a bad review entitled "That's No Moon".

Bob, were you still looking for an FTP client that isn't FileZilla (to see whether the uploading issues were at your end)?

Thanks, Rob. I'll check that out. I did download a package someone recommended some weeks back but got sidetracked and never got around to installing it. Fortunately I'll have some free time this weekend, so I can actually do something about it then.

The size of some of Bob's chapters?  yeah, more like a Space Station.  :p

Bob has told me by email that, while some text-formatting still remains to be done, the FTP issues are now resolved.

Keep watching the skies... and we'll eventually see a moon.

I'll just mention this here, since it might be the only time it maters to more than a few people.

The banner at the top of the forum pages no longer points to http://www.accessdenied-rms.net/dwmain.shtml - instead, it points to the main forum page.

Oh, I think I know where to set that link correctly.

Oh, and that's a bit premature.

Odd, the DW:S front page, has in the bottom right corner:

This page was created on July 21, 2017.
Last modified July 20, 2017.

and the links to the story and concordance seem live as well

Yes, all the files were up last night, and have been up for two days -- I was finalizing them before formally announcing the release.  The date inconsistency is because the "last update" date is inserted dynamically based on the file date, and I wasn't done yet.

And I've made the formal release.  Please put all reactions and comments in that thread, so we have them all in one place.
