Don't Let Go: Sung by The Jerry Garcia Band
- - - -
Hear that whistle, it's six o'clock
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Come on baby, it's time to rock
(Don't let go, don't let go)
I'm so happy to have you here
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Keeps me grinnin' from ear to ear
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Chorus:
Ooh wee
This feeling's killing me
Aww shucks
I wouldn't stop for a million bucks
I love you so
Just hold me tight and don't let go
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Hold me tight and don't let go
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Thunder, lightning, wind and rain
Love is humming inside my brain
There's one thing baby, that keeps me crying
You been keeping your lips from mine
[chorus]
Hound dog barking upside the hill
Love is dragging him through the mill
If it wasn't for having you
I'd be barking and a-hollering too
[chorus]
Someday baby, I'll get you yet
I'll be hollering, soaking wet
One thing baby, I'll never stand
Your lips kissing some other man
[chorus]
Hold me tight and don't let go
(Don't let go, don't let go)
Hold me tight and don't let go
(Don't let go, don't let go)
[Repeat, Fade...]

It seems more as if the song would cause Doug to fall in love with somebody.

Makes sense...Perhaps it could make the target of his song completely smitten with him, along the lines of a 'charm' spell.[Image: smalldarksideoc5.png]

Guys, please have mercy on the guy who has to save the posts for a while until he can update the Arsenal sticky posts (me), and not post image files here... Thanks in advance.
(Edit: "here" meaning "in 'The Game Everyone Loves To Play'". I have no business telling you what you can or can't post in the rest of the Drunkard's Walk forums.)
As for this song, I'm not sure whether it would have any power. More likely, I suspect Doug would look at the lyrics, worry whether any power from the song would cause any problems between him and Maggie, and never play it... but tht's just my take. Bob's the one who gets to pass final judgment on these things.

Yeah, I think Rob has the right of it. Doug's power is a little perverse at times, and that's the kind of lyric, especially at the end, that would worry him.
