Mighty Hunter
Mighty Hunter

Repost -- the Great Forum Hack ate it last time.
So, I was driving home from work recently, listening to 101.1 WRIF (The RIFF rocks DETROIT! BABY!), and they happened to put on an oldie, but a goodie, one of the Motor City Madman's better-known tunes:
Artist: Ted Nugent
Song: Fred Bear
Album: Spirit Of The Wild
[" Spirit Of The Wild " CD]
There I was back in the wild again.
I felt right at home, where I be-long.
I had the feeling, coming over me again.
Just like it happened so many times be-fore. eh.
The Spirit of the Woods is like an old good friend.
Makes me feel warm and good in-side.
I knew his name and it was good to see him again.
Cause in the wind he's still a-live.
Oh Fred Bear
Walk with me down the trails again.
Take me back, back where I be-long.
Fred Bear
I'm glad to have you at my side my friend
and I'll join you in the big hunt before too long
before too long.
It was kinda dark, another misty dusk
it came from a tangle down be-low.
I tried to re-mem-ber everything you taught me so well.
I had to de-cide which way to go.
Was I a-lone or in a hunter's dream.
Cause the moment of truth was here and now.
I felt his touch I felt his guiding hand.
The buck was mine forever more!!
Oh Fred Bear
Walk with me down the trails again.
Take me back, back where I be-long.
Fred Bear
I'm glad to have you at my side my friend
and I'll join you in the big hunt before too long
before too long.
We're not alone when we're in the great outdoors
We got his spirit We got his soul
He will guide our steps and our arrows home
The restless spirit still roams
Oh Fred Bear
Walk with me down the trails again.
Take me back, back where I be-long.
Fred Bear
I'm glad to have you at my side my friend
and I'll join you in the big hunt before too long
before too long.
(Fred Bear was real, BTW)
Power: Doug gets Mad Tracking Skillz, a infinite-arrow bow a-la "White Wedding"'s shotgun (anyone ever see the old "Dungeons and Dragons cartoon? something like that, but more Wild West-y), unerring marksmanship against anything edible, and a hankering for fresh venison. Whether he gets ghostly Native American assistance, or his leathers grow buckskin fringes, is up to Bob.
Mmmm... come to think, this might actually be handy for Rob's "Nadia" Stagger -- Doug doing the Mighty Hunter thing when Nadia is around could lead to some... interesting... arguments.

Don't remind me of that cartoon...

You know, I like this so much that I kinda regret eliminating Ted Nugent from Doug's repertoire.

It's spelt "Frodo Baggins" but it's pronounced "Throat-wobbler Mangrove."

I KNEW that, dammit! And completely forgot! Gah!
Oh, well. Sigh. When a certain piece of music starts kicking my Internal Music Video Machine, my capability for critical thought tends to fly right out the window....

That doesn't mean you can't pull a Gryphon's NA Art Of Noise and attribute it to a fictional band from either WW-Earth or one of Doug's hops.
boad probs dropped it of the update

Well, yeah, but that's kind of cheating from my point of view. It's not playing fair with the readership if I start making up songs and/or changing around who recorded what.
