The repeated references seem to fall under two categories. The verses seem to refer to recalling some past, dramatic event, while the chorus repeatedly refers
to crossing the titular "New Divide". Given the latter is far more clear, one has to wonder if it'd be a transit power of some kind, or possibly
a potential gate song.
