Are the black hats reading DW?
Are the black hats reading DW?
#1
A new rootkit technology was announced last week at the Black Hat Briefings conference. (A rootkit, for those who don't know, is a means of installing malware directly into the bottommost level of the operating system, where it can control what antivirus and antispyware programs actually see.) Anyway, this new rootkit was named... "Shadow Walker".
Story here.

Personally I doubt it...
But I had the same thought about someone in Advertising when I first saw the new comercials for the Tribecca"I was an Otaku before those kids came along and changed the meaning of the word."

Hmm. Must not be showing back east.
Yeah, out here there are ads for the (audi?) B9 Tribecca that use "Dust in the Wind" and basicly show the B9 driving past other SUV's and turning them into Dust or other now abandoned pieces of junk...
And the tag is "The end of the SUV as you know it, and the start of what it should be""I was an Otaku before those kids came along and changed the meaning of the word."

Oh yeah, I've seen those -- the model name didn't register with me. But yeah, that first SUV to go, with that music, and I immediately thought of Doug's use for the song.

Oh, you mean a Windows rootkit - I started to worry for a minute Smile
It's nice the be able to sit on a network with epidemic-level virus infections and not have to worry about it...
