I'm just going to skip away from this for now and hope that either feedback shakes something loose or a lightning bolt strikes. Maybe some Servant romance in the meantime.

Well, for my part, I see Shirou looking off into the distance with his "I've just made a decision and nothing's going to stop me expression"....
"Justice isn't worth fighting for, if it doesn't have any... any *caring* in it. I wanted to be a 'warrior of justice' because I *cared* about the people who were suffering. Justice for it's own sake is just... empty." He turned to look sidelong at Caster, an odd sort of smile playing around his lips. "If he's forgotten that, I suppose *someone* will have to.. remind him."
Caster looked apprehensive. "He's not *you* anymore -- there's no guarantee that he'll listen to you. In fact, there's no guarantee that he even *can* change, anymore."
Shirou's odd smile grew and hardened into something that was distinctly disturbing, on such a gentle person's face. "Oh, I can make him listen -- I know how, after all. Who better?"
Caster's expression was shading towards mildly alarmed as he eyed Shirou's quietly vibrating fists, but he held his tongue. After a moment, Shirou turned away and stared out the window again, obviously looking at something other than the view. "And besides... going back is no good. Trying to change what you did is meaningless, even if you can do it. You have to *fix* the things that you break, make up for what you've done wrong... you have to go *forward.* That's another thing he's forgotten." The younger man's face shifted, and suddenly his resemblance to his Heroic Incarnation was much more obvious. "I suppose I'll have to teach by example. One way or another."
