And, well... zounds.

Kate (what, no stutter?), Juri, Sumire, Miki, Azalynn, Anne... hey, where'd Carter creep out of? "We're getting the band back together."

Of course, now I also have 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' running through my head to the tune of the Black Rose Arc's stuff. I can, honestly, think of only one thing Saionji would entrust something of his SPECIFICALLY to someone else that he knew and trusted... ...but I'm unsure if that's what Gryph is aiming for.

From what I remember of the anime, the black rose people were not little fluffy bunnies. Much more of the psychological trauma style of villains (why have your own troops when you can turn your enemies against one another).
So not sure what is going on, but looking forward to more.-Terry

In UF, the Black Rose Duellists have happened twice so far.
The first time in the Utena continuity.
A second time during Gryphon's trip into Akio's realm.
Technically, Gryphon is currently the Prince of the Black Rose. Technically. But there were a LOT of screwy things about that duel cycle. But at the same time.. it kinda FITS Gryph's school, a bit of samurai ethics.. a bit of Jedi mojo.. a large helping of savage buttwhupping..

Heh, I like Juri's business credentials:

Go reread the discussions about Raven: Blood Ties.

Yes, yes.
I more or less puzzled out that about an hour after I made the post. It was mainly doing what he always seemed to be doing, going through the motions without actually going anywhere.
This lends credence to a previous concern that I had, and a thought. Saionji was, as far as I know, the only person to have Akio snowed... The box, and its contents, are the key.

I felt the bottom drop right out of my stomach at the end there... up until Saionji said The Words, I assumed he was recruiting the kid for the Sith...
(And let me just point out how amusing it is to have the Order of the Sith be the good alternative here...)

Still a few years before the Sith gets some of that old time religion... Anakin would probably make an utterly frightening Sith Knight under Vader's schooling.

somehow.... I'm strangely reluctant for them to meet up... not that they have been split up and become two different people.. I'd just like to get to know them better before we see how they would intereact with one another._____________________________
