No need to rush right over there...
No need to rush right over there...

...because there's no new material to go with it other than a teaser trailer, but Gryphon has just announced in the EPU forums the creation of a "new
era" for UF. And despite the timing, it does not appear to be an April Fool's gag.

G first mentioned this years ago, and he's not a fan of April fools, if I remember right. I'd say it's real.

Is this going to be forever-hinted-at rewrite/reboot of the core stories? (*pleeease*)

Then again I'd be happy with almost anything these guys put out.

Well, he's been talking about an Era to come after Future Imperfect for a while now, and that several stories written for SoS were kinda already skirting
it.

Not a rewrite/Reboot, but apparently this does, in fact, mark the end of the FI era, and the start of the Fifth, "The New Frontier". Seems
appropriate, as there are so many more people out there with stories to tell besides just the core Wedge Rats, that the new directions could be considered New
Frontiers as well as where and what the charecters are doing, etc..

In short, I dont belive its a joke. I NEED this to be true, that the crew is ready to start telling the next group of stories that have had to wait till the
rest of the backstory was in place. Its been far to long...

...there are now *four* trailers up, one of which contains the *oddest* crossover ever, even for UF...

Geoffs? Doesnt strike me as that Odd... If you actually understand the charters of the three organizations, as well as the REAL beliefs of the religion behind
them, they would have no real issue working together to take out that particular group.

Just dont start discussing theology with each other!

NO, I don't think that's what he meant. I think he means the aerial support in that one trailer comes from a completely unexpected source.

If the Core were to be rewritten, I'd save that for the twentieth anniversary, two and a half years from now.

It's not like there's a lot of superpowered clergy out there.

I'm a bit disappointed by the focus there.Brazil has decided you're cute.

I was chuckling a good deal over "The Apostate Yuen"

Because that's one of those UF dovetails that always make me enjoy a good story even more because of the in jokes involved overlapping.

So I went over and read the trailers for TNF and it seems like TNF will be all about tearing down all the foundation pins the Eyrie crew have been setting up
sine the mid to recent FI stories. :o I'm not entirely sure how awesome that is going to be Confused

Also we all caught hints of the Red Skull and his nazi friends in one story and next thing we know it seems like they have become a major player given the
amount showing up in the trailers. All I can think of is 'Don't the heroes have enough enemies already? Do they really need to fight more
nazi's?' Confused

Holy hell. I am dumbstruck and awed by every one of those damned teasers. This is gonna be awesome.

It is a little disheartening to see the UF-verse going to hell in a handbasket again, but I imagine our heroes' awesome and terrible vengeance will more than make up for that. Two great tastes that go great together!

The difference is that this time, the heroes in question won't be disenfranchised and otherwise scattered to the winds while it's going
on.

The War Of Corporate Occupation with Less Angst gets my stamp of approval.

That, and if you gather up the galaxies best and brightest to stand in a line against the coming darkness, there's only so much standing around they can do
before the darkness. I mean, they can't all be Utena and Saionji dropping random food into a deep fryer Tongue

Sorry, Bob's right; I'd have *never* pictured Gryphon pulling that particular character in in a million years.
