Alternatives?
Alternatives?

Okay, so pretty much anyone that writes/reads fanfic on the web knows about Fanfiction.net... but are there others out there?
I already know of one: http://archiveofourown.org/
How is this group?  How well kept is their site and servers?  From what little I've seen their site is reasonably fast and clean, but I think that's mostly due to a lack of adservices.  Wink  So what else is known about them?
And are their any other similar sites out there?

Well, the ones I visit most often include http://www.tthfanfic.org/]Twisting The Hellmouth, which started as a Buffy The Vampire Slayer site but has since branched out considerably; http://www.ficwad.com]Ficwad, which honestly I only check for a few fics, but which seems to be a viable community; and http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/]Mediaminer's fanfic section (same).

Ficwad has much better software running on its site, but much less in the way of actual stories. It's a shame, really.

www.fanficauthors.net/ doesn't have too many authors, but most of the ones who post there are very good.
www.tenhawkpresents.com/ hosts a few authors, but the only really good fic on the site is Alexander Harris and the Shadow Council, a Buffy/Potter/Addams Family crossover (which is seldom updated because the author is currently too busy for fics).
