This was in one of my NASA newsletters.

One of the companies NASA works with has developed a camera software system that lets them determine which way a person's eyes are actually looking at up to 30 feet away.
They talk about using it to determine how much an advertiser needs to pay. But I seem to remember reading back in the 1990's about a adaptive advertisement system that used adaptive computer software and displays to try and keep a persons attention focused on the advertisement by modifying the image in realtime.
One of it's major disadvantages was that the person needed to wear a sensor that watched thier eyes to give the software the feedback it needed.
I wonder how long it will be before somebody digs up that old project and mixes it with this new developement?
Perhaps we should all start wearing mirror sunglasses in the malls. Wink
