Quick Haruhi Question
Quick Haruhi Question
#1
How many episodes are in the series? I'm trying to figure out if I've got all the NA release DVDs, or if there's more coming.

Thanks.

14 episodes of the first series, dunno how many per disc (I've still got the fansubs on my HD) so I can't help there. There's a second series in
production IIRC, but that hasn't even hit Japan yet.

Fourteen episdoes, on four DVDs.

Unless you got the deluxe boxes with the CDs, in which case there's 14 episodes twice on seven DVDs. One set's in Kyon order (as released on DVD in
Japan), the other's in Haruhi order (as broadcast in Japan).

Thanks. I was kinda hoping that the no-ending ending of the last ep on disk 4 wasn't really it, but oh well.

Then again, am I correct in recalling that I've heard a second series is either broadcasting or in the offing?

As for more Haruhi content... The series is based on a bunch of japanese light novesl. I'm not sure if anyone shared on this forum, but here's a link
where a bunch of cool peolple translated a lot of it:

(Mind you, it does, I've been told, lose something in the translation)

And it is offing, I think there's a promo out there too. Oddly enough it's RL security footage of the white chalk alien design on the sports field
incident.

I've been to the baka-tsuki archive of the novels, and read at least the first two; I've got to go back there and pick up where I left off one of these days.

And I've watched that video, which is at http://haruhism.jp if I recall correctly. It purports to show something of importance happening on the magical day of 7/7/07, but god help me, it's a boring 15 minutes or so that ends with an inexplicable flash of light. Or so I recall.
