Big Buck Bunny, available from http://www.bigbuckbunny.org/

I enjoyed it, but then, I like animated shorts.

And that's some nice rendering. I wonder if I can finally try my hand at making that Warriors animation I've wanted to do for so long.

Possibly, but Blenders got a really steep learning curve. Right now I'm jousting with the programming team about some of their UI design choices.

On the plus side, though, there is a lot of stuff out there that you could just import and use as is...

every 3d desing tool has a steep learning curve, because it's hard to make a good one. That said I have seen people learn how to use Blender well in less
than a week, but that was an intense course that covered blender and basic python scripting for about 8 hours a day over 5 days.

Actually, I kinda resolved this morning I would try it anyway, thinking that Shadowwalker or Silverbolt would make good simple test subjects, both being
straightforward human forms with a minimum of detail to worry about. Of course, Silverbolt is a freaking funhouse mirror, which might make the renders take
several centuries...

So, thanks for the links, Ranger. I'll be checking them out.

mmm. Make a Environment map for her to keep the rendering simple.

She still takes a bit to render, but there are ways of fixing that...

I've sent you the files I used for this test so you can see what I did. Didnt model her from scratch though, I already had her from some other project
that escapes me...
