Michael Crichton (1942-2008)

This sucks, really. Had no idea he had cancer.

I'm going to have to go buy some of his books now. I've fond memories of reading them from the local library in high school.

Although I was saddened to hear of his death, I could never understand why people liked his books so much. While the plots were decent, the
writing itself always seemed substandard. The movies based on his novels were some of the few that I liked more than the books that they were based on.
