DCAU Versions of your characters - Check this out!
Posted by: Logan Darklighter - 04-22-2008, 09:19 PM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (45)

Neat little tool for templating up a character in the "Bruce Timm" style used for the Batman/Superman/Justice League/JLU style. Hero-O-Matic is a nifty little resource. The only drawback is that it's in Spanish
(Portugese?), but a little trial and error lets you figure it out. Oh - no way to save character images other than to print-screen and use an image program to
crop it. But that's easy to do.

Here's some of our characters that I've done versions of. Helmet options are somewhat limited unfortunately, so I can't really do a good version of
Cyberman 8, unless I were to photoshop it. Likewise, Looney and Wide aren't really being done justice here with their headgear. But I did my best.
Superball came out pretty good though.

Anyway, go check it out and see what you can come up with!

Here's the Legendary characters.

Looney, without and with his helmet.

Lora'Lai and Evangelia

Superball and Wide Receiver

Bella Fuego

And here's my Saturday night Champions game characters - The Marvels! Shocker, Beetle, and The Mechanic.

  OOC Question to the Collective
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 04-22-2008, 07:08 PM - Forum: Fenspace - Replies (2)

Peggy and I had dinner with my sister Nancy and her partner Mary Ellen on Sunday night, and dinner talk ranged all over the place -- including, at one point,
Fenspace. Upon hearing the description of the setting, Mary Ellen remarked that it sounded familiar to her -- a nephew, or cousin, or something, I can't
remember now what the relationship was -- had recently been talking to her about a collective writing project that sounded almost identical. So I'm just
wondering if anyone reading is related to a Mary Ellen and has told her about Fenspace... or if we have to go searching for a bunch of plagiarists.

WoW is calling to me again
Posted by: Logan Darklighter - 04-22-2008, 06:28 PM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (12)

I've probably mentioned this before, but I alternate between WoW and CoH/CoV. When I have a bit of "burn-out" on one, I play the other. Well,
been playing LOTS of CoH of late, and I am feeling that burnout, just a bit. Going over to WoW to do something different for awhile. Not to worry, I'll
still be around, just not quite as much. I'll keep up with the Task Force announcements and try my best to be available where I can.

  Uwe Boll on gaming movies
Posted by: robkelk - 04-22-2008, 01:46 PM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (8)

Well, sort of... The Inquirer: Uwe Boll denied keys to Azeroth

His quote near the end of the article speaks volumes, doesn't it?

  Task Force Friday: Numina
Posted by: Render - 04-21-2008, 09:26 PM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (7)

Numina's TF requires only 4 people, level 34-38. But you probably want more because of the gratuitous hunting and the monster at the end, Juassik. There
are 23 missions, which sounds awful, but 16 of them are Defeat X missions taking you on a grand tour of Paragon City. Assuming of course, you go to all of
them. Send everyone to a different zone to look for targets in advance, and they fly by.

Red Tomax lists them in this order: Perez, Atlas, Steel, Galaxy, Kings, Skyway, Faultline, Brickstown, Crey's Folly, Terra Volta, Independence Port,
Boomtown, Talos, Dark Astoria, Founders' Falls, Eden. I don't know if the order is randomized or not. Jurassik is found in the last mission, indoors in
everyone's least favorite natural cave map. At least it's not Oranbega. He's Monster tough, not Giant Monster tough, but it can be hairy if he
attacks before you've cleared some breathing room, and he will try to hit you with a Buick on a stick.

This is the other of the original six TFs that I've already done with Badb, so I'll probably bring Faraday since she just hit 35 (Power Sink, yay!)

Task Force Friday - 4/25/2008 - Sewer Trial
Posted by: Wiregeek - 04-21-2008, 09:03 PM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (22)

I have the Sewer Trial mission on Roy, and I believe Sofaspud has it on Emerald, so we've got the Key to get into the sewer after the Hydra.

Bob, this one's for you, can you commit to a time this weekend to do the sewer trial?

Needed are a minimum of two 40s (36-40), and at least 4 50s.

This is probably a Team Two (7-8pm PST) activity. I have no thoughts or suggestions for Team One (feeling a bit toasty, to be honest - Lady Grey x2 in one day
is a killer)

I recall a few folks wondered where I got my copy of the "egg song", and my reply was that I bought the CDs when they were available.

Well... http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PCCG-560]they're available again. 3000 yen for both. (Which is a bit less than what I paid for them individually... but I've had them for almost a decade, so I don't mind.)

For that matter, http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/series_list.ht ... A&sid=1160]almost all the old Ah Megamisama CDs are available again. You'd think it was a 20th anniversarry, or something.

(CDJapan won't ship CDs and figures in the same box, so I don't know whether I should mention http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/goods/goods_de ... 0000023828]this pre-order as well... Oops, too late.)
