Seen on The Inquirer: Joust the Movie. (A floating Las Vegas? WTF?)
I still say it's only a matter of time until we see "Pong the Movie"...

Seen on The Inquirer: Chinese police animes (sic) to patrol web screens
Following the link in that article to the AP article gives more details and an image of the characters. They're cute, but even cute opression is evil, IMHO.

According to The Inquirer, Son'y put a rootkit on their secure USB memory sticks.
You'd think they would have learned by now... Ah, well - they don't make anything I can't get from somebody else, anyway. Except for the Wii (Edit: PS3, not Wii), and I'm not really a console gamer, so I don't care. "Fool me once...", and all that.

Seeing as how this weekend is Labour Day - in North America anyway - is anyone up for any TF's this weekend?
I just got a new computer so I will be able to get into Grandville now :-) States TF is now a possibility for me! Wheeee!
So, HLW available for States TF or Lady Gray on Virtue, or other TFs on Infinity and Justice on Sunday and/or Monday
Anyone else?

Hey, Bob, even though EZBoard still redirects, you might want to change the link on your main page so it points to "P202" rather than "P87."

For Bob:
1. When would Doug's likely entry into the ST be? Given that the franchise now spans 3 cities, he easily drop in on Paris or New York as well as Tokyo.
2. What's the technological impact of Doug's arrival going to be? From what I can oberved based on anime and manga. their electronics is comparable to our 1930's (vacuum tubes?). Whether or not the transistor or diode has been developed yet is the question.

| Virtue Wiki - Cool Category |

Okay, I was just browsing the Virtue Wiki and came across a category I find amusing (as it was intended) and possibly of use to many of us:
Totally Awesome.
To quote the description: Quote: * If you can take a list of those Chuck Norris factoids and replace "Chuck Norris" with the character's name, and more than 80% of the factoids would still be true, your character belongs in this category.
* If the answer to the question "Would Batman be able to defeat Character X?" is "Only if they fought in Gotham, and if Batman had time to prepare", Character X belongs in this category.
* If your character is almost as awesome as Utena Tenjou, they belong in this category. (If your character is just as awesome, or more, than Utena Tenjou, you're a horrible RPer and should stop writing immediately. Seriously.)
Now any category that uses Utena as a yardstick is just cool in my books. Also the fact that its very existence seems to piss off some of the more rigid and less fun-oriented folks on the Wiki. I think I'm going to add it to Evangelia's entry; and I think more than a few other folks in the Legendary qualify and ought to take it.

In the middle of reading it now..the one with Kohran in the cover...and something brought it a fact to my mind...
It seems to be a recurring theme that almost all of the original hanagumi suffered a tragedy prior to joining. Yes, even Iris. I'm surprised she did not pull a Carrie and remained a sweet and lovable girl. Sumire, it seemed, was the only one who grew up having a normal childhood, not to mention as a scion of one of the riche (I don't think they noveau) in Japan.
And at the back pages, it seems they going to go all the way to Sakura Taisen V!
