Remembering how Skuld blew up at Doug over his use of the word "Fall," I thought this was appropriate in a way. Doubtless she'd object, though.

Three AMVs we haven't mentioned yet

Surfing the web, looking for good anime music videos, finding a few...

First, the (relatively) straightforward one: She's Just Oblivious. And the "she" in question is Haruhi.
Next, an example of selective editing to tell a somewhat different story than the original: Code Monkey. I'm pretty sure Legend of Black Heaven didn't actually go this way...
Finally, an example of selective editing to tell a very different story than the original: Something Wicked This Way Comes. We've all seen the original movie, I'm sure, so I won't spoil the twist for you here.

a book blazoned with the title "GURPS Warriors' World"
Well, you knew it had to be out there in at least one timeline somewhere. What's curious is that Paradox doesn't turn to Doug's writeup and look for hints and advice on dealing with him.
Chris adds: The better question is what Paradox's analogue is like in that world. Big Grin
Bob adds: We know, but we're not telling until we absolutely have to!
Just guessing, but I had an image of Kami-sama arranged for that particular page to go missing and Paradox picking up the book Big Grin_______________________________

  Memory Song?
Posted by: ordnance11 - 08-19-2007, 08:04 PM - Forum: The Game Everyone Loves To Play - Replies (1)

"Remember"
by Josh Groban from the movie Troy
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me, in your memory
Remember, when your dreams have ended
Time can be transcended
Just remember me
I am the one star that keeps burning, so brightly,
It is the last light, to fade into the rising sun
I'm with you
Whenever you tell, my story
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me, in your memory
Remember me
I am the one voice in the cold wind, that whispers
And if you listen, you'll hear me call across the sky
As long as I still can reach out, and touch you
Then I will never die
Remember, I'll never leave you
If you will only
Remember me
Remember me...
Remember, I will still be here
As long as you hold me
In your memory
Remember, when your dreams have ended
Time can be transcended
I live forever
Remember me
Remember me
Remember... me...

What I'm not sure is whether the song keeps Doug from not forgetting or resurrects lost memories.

Specialized gaming aid - make it go BOOM!
Posted by: robkelk - 08-18-2007, 03:56 PM - Forum: General Chatter - No Replies

Today's User Friendly Link of the Dat is the High-Yield Detonation Effects Simulator - in this link, showing a megaton blast centered on my home town.
Hours of fun for the repressed explosives-type pyromaniac... and a useful resource for the gamemaster of any post-holocaust RPG. The satellite image option is handy for player handouts, while the map and hybrid options are useful for the GM.
Edit: Helps if I get the link right...

Jet to Jet "Ace of Aces"
Posted by: ordnance11 - 08-17-2007, 05:59 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (2)

Giora Epstein, Israeli Air Force, 17 confirmed jet kills
The man took on 11 Mig 21's in the Yom Kippur War alone for 10 minutes. When encounters normally lasts seconds, that's an eternity!
Final Score:
Epstein: 4
Migs: 0
The man is a veritable Rogue Squadron pilot!
