I'm told that it runs on hydrogen.
It's got four wheels, and they all stay on the road when you lean into a curve.

... isn't something I have anything directly to say about right now.
But I am amused that the language being used to criticize the decision is basically identical to that used against judicial rulings on same-sex marriage.

http://www.airshipentertainment.com/mythcomic.php]The old comic, that is. Three pages a week of free digital reprints, on the same schedule that Buck Godot was on - as of this posting, Phil and Kaja are up to page 5.
Just thought folks would like to know...

She looked straight at the new student. "Are you an alien, time-traveler, esper, or slider?"
"Well, no," the girl stammered in reply.
"Then why are you wasting my time?" The club leader spun on her heel and stormed off.
The underclassman looked upset, but determined. "The easy way to get close didn't work. She won't let us join her club."
The gem on her pendant twinkled and replied, "I'm sorry, my master."
I can't have been the only one to notice there's a major class of weirdness absent from Haruhi's list: mages. (I don't remember her ever including "mahou tsukai" in her list...)
And if the TSAB ever heard about Haruhi, they'd send somebody to investigate. Preferably somebody the right age who can already speak the language without magical assistance. If she has a couple of similar friends who can act as backup, just in case, so much the better.
Trouble is, I have no idea where to take this (except that Nanoha and Fate would be shocked to meet somebody who actually can travel through time)... so I'm offering it to whoever wants it.

Okay, I'm inaugurating a new inspiration thread with this link:

Surely we can do something with this?

I'm sure it was recommended here, but I can't find it in the archive.

On the way into work this morning, I very nearly spit-take'd my coffee as I was driving down the highway. There's a billboard next to the off-ramp
which has just been re-painted. It's advertising Valentine's Day specials for a local jewelry chain. In -huge- block letters, it says
"VALENTINE'S DAY IS COMING!", with the store name and a quick blurb underneath in smaller type.
Okay so far, right?
Hanging from the same pole, underneath the billboard, is a sign for the business occupying that parking lot.
"Planned Parenthood".
