As part of my lon-term goal of making myself more employable, I am learning or refreshing myself on various languages and technologies, many of which are (not
coincidentally) employed for active (or at least flashy-looking) content on web pages. I always seem to learn better when I've got a cool idea or project
to work on, so I wanted to see if anyone had anything along those lines they'd like to see my website include.

Just so people know what's already in the pipeline, I'm recreating the Sidhaisin dictionary (taken down during the site revamp of August 2008) as a
MySQL app complete with querying and whatnot. And I've got an idea about taking the fanfic continuum map and turning it into a live graphic thingy where
each node links out to the fic in question and also has information to pop-up, and in which navigation is handled by clicking the link lines. Not sure how
I'm going to do it, but I know it's doable.

So... is there anything else out there, hopefully not too ambitious, that people think the site could use, and which I might be able to turn into a learning
experience?

It's finished now and man he does a nice job of it. Seriously, he takes the story in directions you wouldn't have guessed. read the summaries, not just

Ragriz was defined as:




1) In the video game Ace Combat 5, Razgriz Squadron is the nickname, and later official name, of the four protagonists of the story.




2) Fictional demonic being who is introduced in Ace Combat 5 as a mythical being who appears during times of war. Razgriz is a representation of war its
self.




2) Someone who normally keeps to themselves except in the most serious of situations, where they prove extremely helpful.




When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals its self, first as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then
it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time as a great hero.






I doubt if Doug would use this due to it being Latin, but as BGM , it definitely qualifies as epic.

With Wiregeek's retirement from City of Heroes, he left me with a large batch of influence and another batch of enhancements. I'll have a full
inventory at some point of the latter.

However, the money part is easy. Approximately 100 million influence and some change was handed over to me. In part because he helped me out when I was
getting started (as he did with a lot of us, I suspect), and in part because I think it'll be amusing, and in part because it makes things easier for all
concerned and shares the wealth with our various groups, I've decided to establish the WTF: MAN program.

Under the WTF: MAN banner, any new character you create is welcome to request a starter bonus that'll keep you comfortably in DO's and your first
couple rounds of SO's until they're high enough level to really start raking it in on their own. I'm establishing an upper level cap of 12, but
that's mostly picked from thin air. Feel free to discuss/debate it here.

I'm also open to hearing debate about low-level characters in general and not just "new" ones, if the general consensus is such that that would
be better.

As for the amount, I'm thinking 4 million sounds about right. That will let us get 25 characters off to a running start just with the funds currently
available. Again, discussion welcome.

If you would like to contribute to the WTF: MAN program, I'll cheerfully accept donations in any amount and of any type -- salvage, enhancements and
recipes, you name it. Any non-inf donations will be converted via Wentworths into inf and I'll keep the current balance updated semi-regularly here on the
boards.

Unfortunately, WTF: MAN is Virtue blueside only, by dint of sheer necessity. I'd be happy to open a redside branch office, possibly under the banner
Larder Of Lawlessness: MAN, but I'm open to suggestions and that would require a sizable donation from someone, plus of course the desire for it to happen.
Again, discussion welcome.

(No, I'm not joking about the intent, at least, and if you have better/funnier suggestions for names by all means suggest them. )
