Liking this subject immensely but not having enough time or skill to seriously try to join, I was wondering if you would mind if I made a free use Character
named Elric that saved up enough cash to by one the larger Treeships and took to stocking it with a small library of various reference books and
expanded to to other novels.. He now wanders the spaceways serving as one of Fenspaces only bookstores with a sideline in Vitamins. so basically be free use
him in any way you want.
Ship Name: SS Archive
Created by Happerry
Registry Number: TSH-184
Base Hull: Treeship
Drive Type: Speed ("Solar Sails")
Owner of Record: Elric
Purpose: Mobile Bookstore
Launched: Sometime
Crew:
* Elric Flairgold (Owner)
Known Vehicle Quirks:
* 'Random Stock' Not all books on the rack have actually been bought, they just shop up randomly on the shelfs.
* 'Sun Trail' When the ship moves it leaves a trail of golden light
* 'Urple Paintjob' The Ships inner paint job is a mix of purple and pink that gives people migraines if they look at it to long, mostly its covered by
the bookshelves and wallpaper though.
* 'Herb Burning' if a handful of mint is burned in the airlock the whole ship smell of mint for about 6 hours.
Known Crew Quirks:
* 'Bookstore Knowledge" - he always knows where any book he is asked for is, if it is on the ship.
* "What Last Name?' - Nobody knows his last name.
*'Networked' the owners brains is hooked up in to the ships systems by a built in radio, some people think that he put his whole brain on to the
computer and is just puppeting his old body. -Happens to be true but not widely known-
Faction: Non-aligned
Home Port: Nomadic, none registered
Current Location: Where ever you want him
Status: ACTIVE
Trivia:
*Sometimes has books for sale that nobody has ever written
*Absolutely refuses to sell music cds from the ship.

Last night Uni and I were finishing up the Faultline arc -- the PsychoChronoMetron, whee! As usual, the fight against Sands was intense, interesting, and a
heckuva challenge. It was a close thing at times, but we made it.
Then the final mish, the three-way mashup with three EBs. Having done it several times before, I was giggling madly while describing the fun to be had to Uni
(who had never run it). We gathered a couple compatriots from the ranks of the Legendary and hit the mish.
A little over a minute later, the dust was settling. We had won.
Now, I've run this solo, with the same team size we had last night (4), and with a full 8-man team, and several in between. The last time I ran it was
before I12. Every time I've run it before, it's been -hard- to nail all three bosses (Nocturne, Castillo, and Sands). This time... well, not so much.
Is it just that we're that awesome? Was it nerfed? Have I just been (un?)lucky before? It was a major let-down.

but I think the answer is: fire!
The question is found here: http://makezine.com/16/makeshift/ or in that issue of Make if you've got it.
And that's the main part of the solution to the problem I've come up with. Set fire to a bunch of doco with a lighter or pocket butane torch to jam the
motion sensors and run like hell. Or if feeling adventurous use the jamming to get closer to the device and start cutting random wires.
Of cause the being to blame for coming up with this problem is the guy that thought up MacGyver. He of the out there ideas, wielder of mighty duct tape and
swiss army knife.

Merry Christmas
I ran across this today seems in January our wonderfully effective and useful congress will be giving itself a nearly 5 K dollar "cost of living" pay
raise to add to their 160 K + salaries.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2008/12 ... og-groups/
If you live in Arizona, Indiana or South Corolina and you don't support the current congressman, you need to rethink that stand and possibly start
supporting him.
/QUOTE/
Earlier this year, Rep. Harry Mitchell, a first-term Democrat from Arizona, introduced legislation that would have stopped the automatic pay adjustments from
kicking in for members next year. But the bill, which drew 34 cosponsors, died in committee.
Two other members of Congress, Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind, and Rep. Gresham Barrett, R-SC, also tried to block the wages but didn't get very far. Burton
plans to return his pay increase to the Treasury Department.
/END QUOTE/
NOTE: Read the article I've rounded numbers and left out others that have tried to stop it and other times when the automatic payraise
was skipped in the past.
Yesterday or maybe a couple of days ago I saw an article somewhere about the CEO's of several bankrupt banks walking away with hundreds of thousands of
dollars of bonus's... Was it a "reward"... for failing?.
Looks like congress is going to "reward" themselves in January, I wonder if they think their work was better than those Bankrupt CEO's.
One critical thing our founding fathers forgot to put in the constitution was a law forbiding the elected or appointed officials the ability to set thier own
pay level.

God Bless

I've spent all day rebuilding the Riot Force base. Putting the workshops together, rearranging the teleporter bay... for the record, the base editor
fucking SUCKS... anyway, the workshop is rebuilt, the salvage racks have a lot of rare salvage, so feel free to grab some, I've added a supercollider and
such. The teleporter bay is working, although it needs stairs. And at this point, as I've been booted off the server for some reason and can't
reconnect, screw it, I'm taking a break. The power room and control room are a MESS, but we don't need to use them, and I'll fix them later.
Good lord, I HATE that editor.

Today's User Friendly Link of the Day: http://velociraptorz.org/]One Velociraptor Per Child
How can you argue with a Mission Statement like theirs? "To increase the Darwinian fitness of the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-energy, internet-enabled velociraptor with content designed for collaborative, practical, self-empowered survival."
