Some Prairie farmers are crossbreeding Holstein/Wagyu cows. They're calling them "snow beef".

Used car up for auction - a heavily-customized Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, to be specific.

David Hasselhoff auctioning off KITT car from 'Knight Rider'

The auction is scheduled to end Jan. 23. Bidding is already far above the high end of the expected high bid, so be prepared to go to seven digits if you want this one.

Yeah, my current computer has NEVER had Flash installed on it. Nor the somewhat related Adobe AIR. The only program I had to rely on THAT was Poser Pro, and, well, I didn't install it when I build this machine, because I've moved to other software.

Come to think of it, I don't think any Adobe software made it onto this machine at all.

'We are simply not the best,' Montreal restaurateur says of his very honest menu

And they mean it. Quoting from their menu - each quote from a different menu item:

Quote:The Chinese name of this dish is called "tiger's vegetable", I don't know why it's called that name. A lot of Chinese people know this dish but I don't, maybe I am not so Chinese.

Quote:Again, this dish is very well-known and we are not 100% satisfied with the flavor now and it will get better really soon.
PS. I am surprised that some customers still order this plate. In my opinion, our Sichuan Pepper Chicken Salad is better than this one.

Quote:More than once, More than twice, our customers told me AuntDai has the best General Tao Chicken in Montreal. Hands half way down or 3 quarters way down maybe, I am no expert on North American Chinese food but I like our General Tao a lot, a lot more than what I would have thought.

Quote:Comparing to our General Tao Chicken, this one is not THAT good.

Quote:This is new on our menu, I did NOT have chance to try this one yet.
According to a lot of customers, this one is very popular, I still don't have chance to taste it. Looks like I should spend more time eating in my own restaurant.

Quote:We used to have the beef pieces on small sticks but several customers cut their lips by it thinking it was some hard ingredient (They must have watches some shows about weird Chinese food). To avoid incidents like this, no more sticks. Some good infusion from the overly fried onion slices (which you can eat).

Quote:When I was China and went to a restaurant, I always ordered this dish. It's so popular that it has so many different versions in China. Since I have so high expection on this dish, I am not a huge fan for our version to be honest

Quote:To enjoy this, you need to get your hands dirty. Good thing is that we provide one-use gloves and the bones are every easy to tear apart so we won't leave any small piece of meat.

Quote:Kung Pao chicken is very well known not only in China but all over the world. There are so many versions of this dish as well. Our version has good amount of flavors from soy sauce, chili paste, fava bean paste, garlic, vinegar, sugar. Also we put some roasted peanuts on top. So far we get mixed feedbacks about this dish, most people love it while some may think it not authentic enough.

Quote:It's very tasty but with relatively small potion the reason is that the big shrimp is very expensive.

"Only in Moscow"?  The Lunar People's Republic in A Miracle of Science put Beria on their 10,000-ruble bill.  As pointed out by the writer, that says something about the LPR's values....

But I logged on to add another oddity – more of a "feel-good" story, really.  The Association of the United States Army sent me the following news snippet:
Quote:True Survivor

World War II veteran Milton Zaczek of Prescott, Arizona, is a 101-year-old survivor of two pandemics. As an infant, he contracted the Spanish flu in 1919. In November, he contracted COVID-19 and has since recovered.

What to Watch: Zaczek, who served as an infantryman in the Pacific, said he tried to stay positive after his COVID-19 diagnosis. “Many people have a defeated attitude, but there is hope.”
