Given that we're talking about the climate of an entire planet, billions of tons of gases and liquids, with all the attendant inertia and resistance to influence that that implies, I'd say that even one percent alteration would be terrifying news.
And, of course, utterly irrelevant to my own viewpoint that pointless waste and the heedless spewing of trash are moral evils in and of themselves regardless of their consequences or lack thereof.
