Actually... I would argue that your drawing has it wrong.
If you look at real-life hakama, the pleats (when present) go all the way up. Your drawing does not have that, which -- to my eyes, and judging by the
reactions of others, other's eyes -- makes it look like a ruffled gown.
If you want the oni to wear a ruffled gown, that's fine -- but if you meant it to be a hakama, it doesn't -quite- work. I would never have guessed
that's what it was until you said something.
That said, it's a nice drawing, but I don't know that it's conveying what you want it to convey -- from the waist down, at least.
(I very much like the mask, however. Creepy, that.)
