Although it might look like it, it's not a reboot -- it's a sequel/continuation. Ernie Hudson's character is someone he played in the original Quantum Leap who Sam affected in some way.

I have been Roland, Beowulf, Achilles, Gilgamesh, Clark Kent, Mary Sue, DJ Croft, Skysaber.  I have been

That's what I thought from reading the TV Guide article, but IMDB and the Quantum Leap wiki both indicate the character was originally played by an actor named Christopher Kirby.

That's where I got my info, too... obviously someone got something wrong somewhere. But the point remains is he's a line of continuity from the one to the other.

Wow. 2020s character designs that actually look like the manga characters.

I didn't know that was still allowed.

RE: The Trailers Thread II
This season's entry in the "cute girls doing things cutely" anime genre appears to be focused on being a handy fixit person. The animation and character designs are very nice, so if that's your groove, check it out.

(from my very limited knowledge of what you've got going in TNB, these girls would probably fit right in, and be quite welcome for that matter... Wink)
