Anybody else think that "The Abattoirs of Paradise" would make a great title for a fic that has the same tone as Jack Williamson's story "With Folded Hands ..."?

I kind of suspect this one was part of someone's bunny thread, but it could have jusat been a shortfic - I don't think it was more than three parts, maybe five at the outside. In it, Danzo finally got his wish and "acquired" Naruto for Root training... thereby putting Ninja Jesus, trope namer for Therapy No Jutsu, in close proximity to his hoarded horde of isolated, emotionally crippled orphans with tragic backstories. Things progress about as well as you'd expect from there, but the details of it have escaped me and I'd like to give it another pass. It was probably from the mid-twenteens, but I have no solid timeframe. Anyone have an idea?

Fake edit: there was an arc something like that in A Drop of Poison IIRC, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't what I was thinking about.

I know, I know, three years since the last chapter was posted... but you ended on a cliffhanger. Any chance that you could throw together something to finish off the arc, at least? Pls?

Tentative title: Scavenger Lord

premise: MC has Fallout tinker-powers and a Vault-Tech bunker to live in, but is actually starting on the Battletech setting world 0f... New Texas I think it was? The world that canonically has a Star League data core and salvageable equipment, but got nuked into biosphere collapse well before the 3000s most stories are set in.

Prospective puns: planet didn't just het nuked it got nukkaked, playing the nukelele

Motes: Fallout tech includes functional AI robots, fusion power, energy weapons, that one vending machine that can create and dispense any object with some kind of replicator or matter printing technology, cloning artificial humans, power armors, Liberty Prime, and flying saucer aliens, so it should be quite enough to be getting on with in its own right given a good starting point in the timeline, but a variation on Tinker Of Fiction that uses arriving at a new planet (or solar gravity well?) rather than the standard timer or word count to determine when the specialty changes could also work.

Obstacles: the above is already nearly everything I know about Fallout and I dislike post-apocalypse survival horror, while on eht other side of the crossover I don't know all that much more about Battletech and what I do know makes it more of a hatedom that I would want to curbstomp for the ingrained stupidity rather than something that would get ant kind of gar exploration, and the chance of that making good stories asymptotically approaches zero.

Hmmmmm... In the first season of Sailor Moon (and the filler arc that started the second season), the opposing forces were harvesting life energy. The Japanese word "ki" and the Chinese word "chi" both translate as "life energy". So, yeah, they're looking for ki. Better hope that the Dark Kingdom never finds a cinematic martial artist... Oh, wait. Fuku fics. And in his own canon, Ranma is said to have a lot of ki.

It certainly seems to me that "drain Ranma and bring Metaria back in one shot" is a viable strategy if the Dark Kingdom is at all intelligent.

Has anybody ever written a fic about that?
