[META] If somebody's looking for something to write about...

There's one less stub on the Wiki - http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Natsuko_Aki]The Best Damn Cop On Mars now has a full writeup.

While sorting through the stubs and updating http://drunkardswalkforums.yuku.com/sre ... stubs.html]the list of which ones are available, I put together end-of-page templates for the http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Template:JMC]Jupiter Mining Corporation and the http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Template:PKG]Panzer Kunst Gruppe. Please check that I didn't miss any pages, and feel free to change the colours. (Actually, I am inviting you to change the colours...)

Edit: And now there's one for http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Template:TSAB]TSAB, too.

All the Major Factions, a fair number of Minor Factions, and a few Corporations now have navboxes. (Yes, even the Major Factions with only two or four pages. They make it obvious what could be fleshed out in the faction descriptions.) And Haruhi saw everybody else getting them and insisted on having one, too... which meant the Supers got one as well, to avoid the wrath of A.C. Peters.

New end-of-page templates:
That'll be it for navboxes from me for a while.

A few images today, including my first try at a CG render, which came out... http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Tachikomas]okay, I guess.

(Mal, if you want to see whether you can do better (and you probably can), I'll email you the model.)

And, yes, I know http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... ace_Powers]that isn't the greatest available Soyuz image. However, it is (a) public domain and (b) unusual. ( I have http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegal ... _1690.html]a better image waiting for when somebody actually writes the Roskosmos page... )

Finally bit the bullet and added some detail on http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Eddie]Eddie and http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... d_da_Quirm]Leonard da Quirm to the wiki.

Now all I have to worry about are the new characters... I really need to work on the introductions.

Got around to finally adding Ford Sierra, as more than just 'Jet's Partner'. Updated Jet's own profile to match how Jet's actually being written. Will add the hardsuit tomorrow maybe.

Also filled out the JF-21. Just remember, Jet isn't a propulsion or airframe designer..... The Colonials love it because it's cheap, fast, doesn't have an onboard AI, and it's a stop-gap before the Viper Finally comes on stream.

And John Henry Station.

Since I'm unexpectedly at home this afternoon, I made a dent in the number of Wanted Pages on the wiki (in a few cases, by removing the sole "redlink" to the wanted page from a page about a part of Fenspace created by someone who isn't an active participant any more).

We're now down to 55 Wanted Pages, at least 23 of which are about some part of the Soviet Air Force.

Of course, the number of Stub pages has increased, but at least there's something in the wiki now for a few of these topics...

Bastard, you're making me do work. Tongue

Anyway, I've stripped a bunch of links on the theoretical assumption that they can always be put back when I or somebody else gets inspired to write background. So we're down from 55 to 40 redlinks.

Hey, I'm not the one who put the redlinks in...

Hurrah! That's one page on my big monitor (or three pages on my notebook). Now I suppose I should do something about the K-1 Vehicle...

Since (a) Bob asked how big a Tachikoma is, and (b) I figured out how to get the texture maps to load, I put together a Tachikoma image with a Jess Ayanami ready to climb aboard the ship. The image is on the Tachikoma page, but I'll save folks the trip:

(Yes, they are both looking at the camera. So much for a "candid" shot... )

As long as I already had Jess modeled, I figured I may as well make an image of her/them for her/their own page... so I did:

As long as I was touching the Roughriders, I made a http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... oughriders]Roughriders category for all their pages, and tagged their navbox and relevant images with it.

Little bit of a problem there. That's a Fuchikoma, not a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachikoma]Tachikoma

What, they weren't supposed to be the Solid State Society version?

(Besides, the only model I've been able to find is a Fuchikoma...)

No, they're supposed to be the blue ones from GiTS:SAC TV. The green ones from SSS are http://www.hlj.com/product/WAVKK-03]Uchikomas, a sort of Fuchikoma/Tachikoma hybrid.
It's still a nice model.

And Jess's eyes are red, as per her being an Ayanami-type biomod.
Reply

You can actually see her eyes in those shots?

Edit: I went and looked - the different-coloured-eyes package costs $20, so it'll have to wait until Xmas shopping is paid off. Although the different-coloured-eyes package includes catgirl eyes, so it's high on the wishlist. (Ditto the glasses package... and the cheongsam's $25... I hesitate to look for Kohran's hair.)

Anyway... http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Airport_Codes]I got bored, so have another page of trivia.

I went in and deleted a couple of the pseudo-factions from the Wiki, since they were just hanging there & didn't seem to have much in the way of relevance to... well, anything.

VVV Now that I think about it, I'm going to grab the deleted content and just slap it on the Religion in Fenspace page, along with the Amish material. It makes more sense than blocking out a dozen religious stubs. VVV

Er... the "Jews" page was linked off of "Religion in Fenspace", via a redirect page.

Then again, Religion in Fenspace isn't something we've been looking at very much, either.

And I've put some redirects in so that nobody starts writing individual pages for each religion (and so we don't have to re-specify some existing crosslinks).

Speaking of redirects... Through the judicious use of redirects and ruthless pruning of "redlinks" to nonexistent articles about characters created by folks who've left the Collective, we're now down to 33 Wanted Pages. Can we get that number down even farther?

Rob's pages:
K-1 Vehicle
Serenity I

Mal's pages:
Archer-class
Arda
Gallifrey
NOMAD
Ragnarok
Shuttlepod
Type-7 shuttle
The South Is Rising (Someone Get A Hammer) (yes, I know this one is a collaborative effort... but Mal started it)

Cobalt's pages:
Julian Bashir
Roberta

Blackaeronaut's pages:
Andrew 'Ender' Langley-Rhodes
Kyoko Langley-Rhodes
Mikhail Langley-Rhodes

KaiserDrgn's pages:
Koopa Kingdom
Leonardo

Ebony's pages:
Hanoi Xan
World Crime League

Dartz's pages:
Flight Hardsuit

Dartz and Dakota's pages:
Jet Jaguar and the Kentucky Cat - Day Three - Part Four

JFerio's pages:
Myk-El Miller

I've lost track of who "owns" these pages:
Killing Joke
APE1
Wing and a Prayer Enterprises

Pages open to anyone who wants them:
Hogsmeade
PS 238
China National Space Administration
European Space Agency
Indian Space Research Organisation
Israel Space Agency
Russian Federal Space Agency
Taiwan National Space Organization

Best as I can recall, I didn't really come up with this idea, even if it is on the Corners, and I know nothing about the source material from which the name comes. Although if no one else claims it, I'll take it.
