Yes. He pulls that claim out of his ass too.

Fucks sake, more politicians falling victim to the dual citizenship issue? Time for more by-elections! *Facepalm*

Sydney today. Crazy man kills one innocent woman, runs around with knife trying to scream generic muslim terrorist lines (And fucking them up) in an attempt at suicide by cop. Takes a milk crate to the face and has three sturdy British tourists sit on him until the cops come.

And Alan Jones continues to be a lying, narrow minded, sexist, racist money sucking fuckstain. Protected by a radio network run by fellow fuckstains, so the country is stuck listening to him. God dammit.

Ugh, nothing like a disgraced politician bullshitting about Christian Values at an anti-abortion rally... Hey, Barnaby, you ever hear of the Commandment about adultery, you wandering dick moron? And while we're at it, stop actively LYING about what the abortion bill would actually be...

At least the high-ranking priest convicted of pedophillia had his conviction upheld and his staying in jail, but damn, the screaming from the racist conservative portion of the media is fascinating.

'Nice' to get the reminder our government can be just as horrible about asylum seekers as yours. *Grumble mutter*

And after it turned out a member of parliament had financial ties to the Chinese government, and the PM knew about it before the last election (And was in fact advised by our security agencies not to endorse her on the ballot), looks like it might be time for another leadership spill!

That's all it takes in Australia?  Here in the US the President can give top secret stuff to Russia, have business dealings with Russian oligarchs, and even ask Russian hackers to attack his political rivals, and no one does anything about it.

We have some decency left... also, the past decade has left both major parties with a really bad habit of loyalty issues. Morrison is a scumbag that has gone above and beyond at earning bad PR over the last few weeks, what with deliberately making a family of asylum seekers suffer in unneeded and expensive to the taxpayer ways, while shitting on the court system. He deserves to be kicked out.

It also doesn't help matters any that a good number of Republicans have taken Trump's election as license to abandon all decency and humanity, and all but openly proclaim favorable positions on misogyny, racism, and unchecked avarice.  At this rate it won't be much longer until we have card-carrying members of the KKK in Congress because they ran on the platform of "Send them back".

What's worse is that if the Democrats do try something, be it overt or covert, then the Republicans will turn it on them later on down the line with the excuse of Precedence.  "Well you did it before, so why can't we?"

That's gonna be the watch-word for the next few decades, what with the Supreme Court Justices Trump has put on the bench.  And while it is possible that a Supreme Court Justice could be impeached, just try making it happen.  It never does.  And again, the Republicans will use Precedence as their weapon of choice.

The only way that the Democrats would be able to do anything is if they can pull it off without anyone on the Far Right being able to use it as ammunition.  Because while their following may be small, it is horrifically toxic on top of being loud and obnoxious; they pretty much poison everything they touch.

As you can imagine, that's a lot easier said than done.

*Grumble mutter* Claiming our national budget is in balance because you've delayed billions of dollars funding to a disability support service is just a fucking asshole move. Our prime minister, ladies and gentlemen!

Oh wonderful. In addition to having a pedophile protector has his 'spiritual mentor', our PM has the wife of a QAnon nutjob on his staff.

So, after all the times over the past five years where dual citizenship has cost politicians their jobs, right up to helping get our deputy PM in hot water, one would expect that they would have learnt by now... NOPE! Looks like our Prime Minister might have New Zealand citizenship as well! After his long string of personal fuckups over the past month alone...

His many PR attempts to be 'one of the guys' backfiring
Gently caressing Trumps ass while in America (Right before the impeachment finally got underway, for extra comedy)
Having the current White House find his 'spiritual mentor' too concerning to be allowed to come along on the trip, and refusing to answer the media or parliament when asked if he tried to bring the pedophile protector along.
Continuing to deny climate change exists
Claiming that if it did exist, God would sort it all out anyway, so what's the problem?
Meeting with farming and community support groups over the worst drought in Australian history (Hmm), only to reveal that his methods of addressing this problem can be summed up as 'Um. Ummmmm....'
Was caught redirecting emergency drought funding to little side projects in districts outside the drought afflicted areas.
American media reveals one of his staff members is a high ranking member of QAnon, and is one of the idiots responsible for the entire Pizzagate bullshit. PM has invited this idiot into Kirribilli House, spent time with him, gone to dinner with him...
Australian media is gagged from reporting PM spending time listening to right wing lunatic.
Had all the media sources in the country kick off a campaign against media suppression. This wasn't just his doing, although he's been involved in recent efforts. This was aimed at a large collection of laws introduced over decades.
Said campaign has led to renewed calls to allow the media to see just what's happening inside off-shore detention centers, which they're currently legally barred from.
General racism and stupidity.

... Yeah, I'm hoping this manages to burn him badly. Plus, it would be hilarious for the Coalitions one-seat majority to be taken out by the PM being kicked out of parliament.

Ummmm, wow, Australia....  I mean, yeah, I'd read Matrix Dragon's gripes about the (eminently gripe-worthy, as far as I could tell) PM, but this apparently latest is a tad extreme, even so....

Little-known fact:  "Australia" is actually an abbreviated form.  The land's full name is "AauuuggghhhhAAUUGGHHHHHstralia <whimper>."

Morrison has always been a lackey to the coal industry. This response to the climate protests, which got violent because police started pepper spraying, is just another reminder.

Oh hey, so. Fire season's been getting more destructive and longer every year. Experts have been saying, for years, that climate change is a major part of this problem, and massive steps need to be taken to even mitigate the problem slightly. Right after the most recent election, our PM, who is convinced that there is no global warming and God will solve it all, cut funding to fire services, especially those tasked with trying to reduce the danger to residential regions. Right now, a significant percentage of our country is burning down. Our emergency services don't have the resources to handle this. His response? Thoughts and prayers. I wish to Christ I was making that up.

*Sigh* Over the months since his election, he's worked hard to pretend he's working, spending a fortune on flying around, making PR appearances everywhere, failing to actually get any work done in Parliament. What I've posted here before is just the bits I needed to scream into an uncaring void over, after the fury got too much to properly contain. I'm so tired of this bullshit.

For those wondering, the fires aren't in my state yet, thank god. We're currently just suffering through weather patterns with a temperature shift of over twenty degrees Celsius on a daily basis, random heat waves followed by hail followed by dust storms for over a month. Yeah.

Do something to help with the fire crisis? Nah, let's deny medical support to refugees, put heavily armed guards at our airports, grant religions the legal right to discriminate against minorities, then go overseas on holiday!

Fuck my life.

Don’t worry too much about it from our side. If there’s one thing US liberals understand, it’s foreign leaders being blackmailed by Trump.
