Ah, Australian Federal Politics.

Oh hey, so. Fire season's been getting more destructive and longer every year. Experts have been saying, for years, that climate change is a major part of this problem, and massive steps need to be taken to even mitigate the problem slightly. Right after the most recent election, our PM, who is convinced that there is no global warming and God will solve it all, cut funding to fire services, especially those tasked with trying to reduce the danger to residential regions. Right now, a significant percentage of our country is burning down. Our emergency services don't have the resources to handle this. His response? Thoughts and prayers. I wish to Christ I was making that up.

*Sigh* Over the months since his election, he's worked hard to pretend he's working, spending a fortune on flying around, making PR appearances everywhere, failing to actually get any work done in Parliament. What I've posted here before is just the bits I needed to scream into an uncaring void over, after the fury got too much to properly contain. I'm so tired of this bullshit.

For those wondering, the fires aren't in my state yet, thank god. We're currently just suffering through weather patterns with a temperature shift of over twenty degrees Celsius on a daily basis, random heat waves followed by hail followed by dust storms for over a month. Yeah.
