As for the CGI offering... I can see why they deserved it, but I can also see why the Dragonfly was chosen over theirs. Great Justice wasn't looking for something bleeding-edge. They were looking for something with a better performance envelope than the Fe-Zig but was easy to maintain, simple to understand, easy to train in, and could get fucked up six ways to Sunday and still get the crew home, safe and sound. CGI delivered a VERY nice product - one that I might have been inclined to buy if I had room for it in my hangars - but it was something better suited for a spec-ops squadron and not a work-horse replacement.
Tell you what. I'll go ahead and schedule a series of seminars - Subject: Building Successful Military Spacecraft. I'll be personally imparting the things that I've learned in this business to anyone who wants to get in on it. Anyone can come, free of charge. We'll put them up, provide meals, and provide transportation to and from 36 Atalante. Hell, I'll even throw in passes to the recreation zones.
I might be our world's IBM, but if my only REAL competition is from Chris Marsden, then that's not healthy capitalism, and that needs to change.
We can hash the rest out when I get over there. Are any of the girls from CGI gonna be around? Because if so then I'd like to bring along Nuku-chan and Kitten. They haven't seen Vivio and the others in a while.
