Unexpected downtime?
Unexpected downtime?
#1
Am I the only one currently unable to access both the CoH servers *and* the site itself? I didn't see any announcements before I went to bed last night.

I have come to one conclusion. It is one of three causes:

- Server maitenance that I missed the memo on, though that doesn't explain the SITE going down...

- Issue 13 is gonna be GINORMOUS

- The Large Hadron Collider has accidentally annihilated NCSoft's offices and servers.(WHAT HAS SCIENCE WROUGHT?!)

Yes, well, this is a slightly more directed point than destroying the entire world. Tongue

Anyway, seems plaync.com isn't responding either. This is very, very strange.

Or reboot my PC. Everything works now. That's the most direct connection failure I've ever seen. Everything else worked. O_o

I've actually had that happen to me a couple times, and last time I poked around a bit and noticed that the launcher process was running, even though it
wasn't showing in the application list. Killing it forcibly fixed the problem. I suspect a hung process plus open connection == FAIL, but damfino how that
would affect my browser as well. YMMV and all that.

First off, it is my sad duty to report that the LHC -has- destroyed the world.

Second, reboot is always a good idea when problems come up. Smile
