Yet Another New Fic Reccomendation Thread
Re: Shinji and Warhammer40k
Oh, I'm familiar with it as well, I just don't like it much. [Image: smile.gif]

Another new fic...
It's over on Twisting The Hellmouth, so I have to wait until I get home to give you folks a URL, but I didn't want to wait to give the recommendation. This is a "Buffy" YAHF story, in fact a spin-off of a different YAHF, but it's not your usual Halloween after-effects story. Harmony: The Adventures of an Average, Everyday Supergoddess is the title. When Cordy and the other Cordettes dress up as superheroes for that one fateful Halloween, slightly dim Harmony makes a mistake and dresses up as a nominal villain -- the Enchantress from Marvel comics. And when Amora's looks, powers, skills, and memories stay with her after Halloween... well, things are not going to stay the same in Sunnydale.
This is turning into an incredible piece of work; the early chapters make you really feel for a Harmony who seems to be mildly retarded and only tolerated by Cordelia because she's a cheerleader and a good follower; and the most recent two chapters are just freakin' spectacular. This is not "Harmony the Super-villain", btw, at least not yet and it shows no signs that it's likely to be. It's got to be one of the best "after Halloween" fics I've encountered so far. Give it a try.

Re: Another new fic...
I will...
Let me note, though, that I never felt the least bit of sympathy for Harmony until she became a vampire. I'm convinced that she was born soulless and having a demon in her actually made up for the lack. [Image: smile.gif]

Re: Another new fic...
I have to agree with EML. Harmony is a character that the writers of Buffy and Angel just ran with, exploding the stereotype of the witless cheerleader while still retaining it as a core of Harmony's personality. In ways, she was a better character than Cordelia. The expression on Angel's face in the final episode when he realizes that she's hoping for a reference still makes me laugh.Ebony the Black Dragon

Which just goes to show that he is the ultimate good guy. He made sure to take care of everybody to the best of his ability, even the soulless vampire secretary."Anyone can be a winner if their definition of victory is flexible enough." - The DM ofthe Rings XXXV

Great story -- and I recognize the author! All his stories seem to be up there but he does have a personal site and LJ too. I recommend Virtue of a Warrior and Walking About if you haven't read those two stories before. Virtue esp. -- one of the best Faith-centered stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading. --

Bonanza and StarGate?
"Window Of Opportunity Bonanza" this is a StarGate and Bonanza story and yes it works
www.fanfiction.net/s/3899...ty_Bonanza
It might be a bit slow to get started, but it probably needs the buildup to make it work.

Naruto goes Groundhog
Chunin Exam Day
During the Sand-Sound Invasion, Naruto attacks the barrier around the Orochimaru-Sarutobi fight head on... and wakes up on the first day of the Chunin Exam.
How much can Naruto grow up as a person when he's taking the Exam time after time after time after time...?

This Cake Is Great, a Portal fanfic, it's a lot of fun.

in contrast, GLaDOS's thoughts boomed overhead the whole way. Sometimes she mused on things like the shapes of spots on the wall; usually, she amused herself by telling Chell the way ahead was clear, when in fact the way ahead was lined by uselessly apologetic turrets. It amazed Chell that a computer could be so humanly cruel and introspective. She even began to pick out emotions in the voice that had initially seemed so impassive.

New guy here, well, more like some-what new lurker. But you guys have given me so much reading material that I've decided to surface and return the favor a little.
I'm pretty sure no one's mentioned this:

Cracktastic fic. Misunderstandings stemming from a rather large gift. Swords. And unbelievable luck in gambling.
Edit: By the same author, www.fanfiction.net/s/3629...ing_Crisis is a humor fic wondering what'd happen if Naruto had learned the exploding clone jutsu. --
