Crossovers That Should Not Be 20: One token-Ringu to network them all

Or should that be "Tolkien-Ringu"?

Anyway... Previous thread is previous

Guess I should actually offer a CTSNB:

So ... Shinji as James "Captain Slow" May, or vice versa, I presume.  And Asuka as Jeremy, of course.  So that leaves Rei to be Richard.  But who's the Stig?
Yes, I know, you're most likely referring to something else with "Gear" in the title.  But I, too, can dream....

Considering how she drives, Misato.

Well, I was referring to Sword Art Online, whose NerveGear VR headsets provide full sensory immersion thanks to inductive neural connection... which BTW also allows the game to KILL YOU in IRL.
But, Top Gear as part of NERV... hmmmmmm.

Some reference to the destructive testing (which didn't quite manage to destroy it) of the Toyota Hilux would be nicely appropriate, too.
I'd heard of Sword Art Online, of course, but -- obviously -- I knew practically nothing of it besides the name.

And while I'd thought of Misato as a possible "Stig," I forgot about how appropriately she drives.

Edit:  By the way, with reference to "Tolkien-Ringu," who else is now imagining Sadako moaning "My precioussss," as she crawls out of the well?

Kantai Collection is about you collecting anthropomorphised ship spirits to fight Abyssals, but ships can be named after people.

What happens when said people come back as the ships? Say, the TSAB getting the Nanoha Takamachi back...

So, a week later and I have another one.

Abyssals are appearing because the Greater Grail is leaking the cursed mud underground into the sea. Abyssals are ship spirits infected by the mud, and shipgirls are the counter force responding.

This will make the Mage Associations upset, as magic becomes more well known.

Pedantic on my part, but Marvel had comic rights to the Doctor in the 1980's and 90's, which included a few crossovers with other Marvel characters,

No, I don't believe the world has gone mad.  In order for it to go mad it would need to have been sane at some point.

Reminds me of an awful pun buried in an old Valiant comic from back in the '90s:  older brother is holding little brother (named Obie)'s shinobi action figure out of reach, teasing "Obie want shinobi?"

His work shows people living in a strange world where the Empire Never Ended. They can transition between two alien but interconnected worlds of "Wealth" and "Poverty" by strange coincidences and forces outside of their control, while surrounded by people with surreal and unlikely names and . . . odd . . . personalities.
The works of Philip K Dickens.

For the Origional Production of Star Wars, Chapter Four, Jabba The Hutt, was a walk on played by a Fat Scottsman.
In SW Comics, the Hutt Linniage, is transferred through the Boss's Sister, so Jabba aranged to have his cousin served for Dinner by one of his Father's "Rivals" at a negotiaton meeting.
