After more than a few book-only sales, RightStuf's gone back to marking down DVDs from a single company...
Until June 1, save at least 40% of retail price of DVDs and 33% off retail price of manga from Viz. (Yes, Blade, that includes the Ranma 1/2 box sets.) Details http://www.rightstuf.com/mail-templates/viz-2008-05-22/]here.

Bob, have you ever thought of using any disco songs like "Disco Inferno" or "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor?

Bella Fuego sees a hole in her badge array and wishes to fill it with Imperious's task force.
I am looking at a 7:00pm EST start tonight (Friday) on Virtue.
Nero might have fiddled while Rome burned...
But what caused the fire?

Sad news today. Apparently Bob Asprin passed away on Thursday. He was scheduled to be the GOH at Marcon this weekend.
*sighs* That No More Dying memo didn't get passed along, it appears. Another one gone. Time to go dig out the Myth-Adventure books again. And he'd
just started what was the first in what appeared to be a new series that was pretty good, too. Gonna miss him.

Prestige from an RP/Fic perspective - how I see it. |

the way I see it, Prestige is a measurement of a supergroup's fame and reputation amongst the 'public' of Paragon City, codified and monitored by
the hypothetical Paragon City banking industry..
So 100k prestige would imply a signifigant increase in the credit rating or government funding available to the supergroup.
Functionally speaking, it's cash for the SG.
Pursuant, of coure, to Gryphon's Law.

Tales Snippets of The Legendary: A Moment in Time
I clumped off the pad for the Base Portal receiver and clumped slowly down the hall. I glanced back and verified that yes, I was leaving glistening footprints
on the durable tile. I paused outside the entrance to Lora'Lai's office, and grinned. Hoisting my tired carcass into the office, I pulled a pouch out
of a suit pocket and dropped it on the desk before unceremoniously dropping myself onto the leather couch facing it.
"Errr-" Lora'Lai began, eying the couch and my dripping form sprawled on it. "You know you're -"
"Covered in Hamidon goop, yes."
"And-"
"Sitting on a rather expensive couch, yes." A raised eyebrow met this pronouncement, and Lora'Lai pulled the bag across the desk to her.
Mercifully, it was dry and clean, and she teased the drawstring open and pulled out a Paragon City bankcard. Slotting it into her terminal, she looked back to
me with another raised eyebrow. I smiled even wider.
"This is over a hundred thousand prestige?" Lora'Lai said evenly.
"Yup. Been a VERY busy week, and you know I run for the cameras when I'm working with the crew." I pushed myself up, and switched on my armor.
The backup cells had regenerated sufficiently, and I bent and picked the couch up easily. Stepping down out of the office, I looked up at Lora'Lai and
winked. "That should more than cover something in a nice natural fabric. I never liked this couch anyway."
Whistling, I strode down the hall towards the armor maintenance bay, the couch across one shoulder like a particularly useless polearm. Lora'Lai's
quiet chuckle rolled out of her office behind me, as I strode forward grinning like a cat with a thousand canaries.

I got this link off the TV Tropes wiki -- it's allegedly a transcript of a savvy user messing with the head of a script kiddie phishing scammer. Short but funny. Enjoy.
