DBZ... are there any GOOD fan-fics out there?
Posted by: David Lewis - 11-29-2007, 04:48 AM - Forum: Other People's Fanfiction - Replies (5)

This one has been hard. I've been having rather poor luck at finding anything engrossing to read, and given the success of my previous Sailor Moon and Tenchi Muyo fic search requests, and given the the huge variety of experience and depth of knowledge of the subject of fanfiction here, I was hoping for some more suggestions? What in your opinion are the best Dragonball/Z/GT stories out there?

If you feel that it's real I'm on trial
And I'm here in your prison
Like a coin in your mint
I am dented and I'm spent with high treason
Through a glass eye your throne
Is the one danger zone
Take me to the pilot for control
Take me to the pilot of your soul
Take me to the pilot
Lead me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Take me to the pilot
Feed me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Well I know he's not old
And I'm told and I'm told he's a virgin
For he may be she
What I'm told is never never for certain
Through a glass eye your throne
Is the one danger zone
Take me to the pilot for control
Take me to the pilot of your soul
Take me to the pilot
Lead me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Take me to the pilot
Feed me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Through a glass eye your throne
Is the one danger zone
Take me to the pilot for control
Take me to the pilot of your soul
Take me to the pilot
Lead me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Take me to the pilot
Feed me through the chamber
Take me to the pilot
I am but a stranger
Take me
Take me
Oh
Take me
Take me
Yeah

  CDJapan Sale
Posted by: robkelk - 11-28-2007, 02:29 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (4)

For those who don't know, CDJapan is an internet company based in Japan, that sells Japanese CDs, DVDs, and anime character goods worldwide. These folks don't usually have sales, so this one's notable: Up to 70% off selected CDs.
(Including 40% off the new Ah My Goddess TV soundtrack.)
Also, get a coupon worth 500 yen off an order of 3000 yen or more. All you have to give them for the coupon is your e-mail address, which they'll need to send you the shipping confirmation notice anyway. The coupon expires at the end of the year.

  [IC] The Ysrafel report.

23 November 2007, Ziggursky Penitentiary
Well, here I am in prison. I really don't know why I let Evangelia convince me to go for this deep cover assignment, maybe it's that a 36-year-old Eva is much more commanding a presence than the Sixteen-year-old I last saw in Paragon.
Alternate universes really get to me you know? I should be used to it by now, but like Doug said in what I call "Paragon A," every universe is f***ed up in a different way. Is it my fault I thought the Skuld that came through that portal was an Homage and not the real deal? I mean her outfit was SO not what I expected. I mean I'm pretty solidly tied into the Abrahamic faiths' theosphere. How was I supposed to know she had an "in" with the Boss?
So I arrive here in a Paragon City where everyone I knew is twenty years older, but it's still the year I left "A." Everyone is convinced I'm my own daughter. Yeah, it stinks. Fifteen alternate universes and I'm still a 14-year-old bluenette albino. I should never have accepted those Servitor attunements in the last reality... but when both *letters blur so no one can read it* and Lucy show up and *blur* TELLS you to take them....
Lucy's "gifts" are actually helping me convince folks that I'm this bad little ball of malevolent potential. And the Boss gave me the tools to stay "me." He still hasn't told me why I'm on this Tiresian journey in the first place, but it must be important.... There go the air raid sirens. And the explosions. And Arachnos boots, several hundred in size 12 EE.
My next report is from the Etoilles.

This isn't particularly CoH-related, but I found it amusing. Randy Milholland put up this comic today, talking about an unpleasant and possibly unwanted superpower. The punchline really makes it.Ebony the Black Dragon

Personal timeline: 25th Year, 280th Day
I must do this thing properly, if at all.
Poor Herbert seems to have been taken in by my "accident;" he believes me dead or lost forever in some distant time. It is for the best, I keep telling myself; the Machine must remain my secret alone if I am to have even the remotest chance of success.
I do not know, even, if it can be done. Can the future be changed? Can the future that I have been to, have experienced myself, be changed, and what then will become of me?
And yet I must try. For the sake of generations yet to come, I must try.
All the tools and knowledge of the future are potentially available to me. I shall become a Scavenger, then, improving my situation and my Machine to the point where I may become an effective force of change.
If it is within my power, the future of Morlocks and Eloi will not come to pass.
If...
