I'm glad you like it, but really don't worry about breaking up the story. Any feedback at all, good or bad, would be welcome. Really.
(not to sound needy or anything, but having it just sit there, except for those kind words, is a trifle discouraging)
Well lets have the best of both worlds and make a separate comment thread.
I read it on a daily basis and am enjoying the show.

  Brightsky Art

Okay, so, I've been drawing recently.
For Valles, it's Brightsky:
And there's my second ever piece of CoH art, and the first one I've actually done in a serious style - the other, as some might recall, was a superdeformed humour piece.
I may do others...
EDIT: Yes, yes, I know, she's too slim and the bazongas aren't big enough. But my art style tends towards the malnourished stick figure, and I just can't draw chests that damn large. I just can't. =(

  Buying a New System

Anyone know if any of the major online retailers are having Black Friday sales?
I really need to get a new computer at a reasonable price, avoid going shopping on Black Friday and the weekend after like the plague, don't have a trustworthy mom&pop shop to build me one nearby (and I don't know how, and don't want to (now, anyway), build my own)

Those crazy end of the world bringers....
Posted by: Rod.H - 11-12-2007, 05:16 PM - Forum: General DW Chatter - Replies (1)

I picked up a copy of Matthew Reilly's latest 'The Six Sacred Stones' (an advantage of living in said authors home country) and I finished reading it not that long ago too.
Well, I noticed something in part of that books' plot points that might apply to WW-Earth aka Doug's home stomping grounds. What it was could be used as a reasoning for why WW-Earth's Japan is so Xenophobic, being that they're the last bastion of the first evolution of mankind. You'll be correct, if your thinking of The Ancients from SG1, for it's a similar basis just without the glowing squid-like mental energy evolution.
Where am I going with this and how does it relate to the thread subject. Why it's quite simple: superpowers + WW2 + cult of aggrieved xenophobic nationalists, mix with a healthy dash of "If we can't rule the world, no one can!" equals typical super villain behaviour, no?
Cause this all just third-party speculation produced from my odd logic. Still it'd be interesting to see Doug's reaction when he reads a book like this, whilst on his Walk, especially if parses with a WWEarth event.

  Cardcaptor Sakura $$$!
Posted by: LilFluff - 11-12-2007, 10:28 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (4)

Holy Snackcakes! I decide way to late that I ought to add Cardcaptor Sakura to my collection and what do I find... RightStuf doesn't have any of the DVDs in stock but the movies, and while Amazon has some of the DVDs listed, the second disc is listed as "6 used & new from $69.99"
Ouch. And just for added pain, it was released by Geneon, and considering their situation who knows what the chanced are for new stock any time soon.
Knew I should have picked it up some time ago. :/
I suppose if I want to get Vandread I should act soon before it's in the same situation.

Poem of the day - 11/11
Posted by: robkelk - 11-11-2007, 06:21 PM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (2)

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
John McCrae, In Flanders Fields

Lest we forget.
