Argh. I am going crazy trying to find a fanfic that I know I've read on fanfiction.net, but can't find through Search on the site. It was a Babylon 5 crossover, with...I believe it was Wing Commander? A small group of ships gets ported into Babylon 5 universe and immediately start to play havoc with the balance of power. Among the non-Babylon universe ships was an independent scout that had a powerful beam weapon from the equivalent of that universe's First ones, if I'm remembering the storyline correctly. It was a fairly long fanfic, and the last chapter that I recall had a Mimbari medic going off to receive training in human techniques.
Does anyone know this story, and more importantly, does anyone have a link to it? I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Gabriel of Penny Arcade recently went to a Pokemon Tournament, and he relates his experience. It's quite thought provoking, and I'm impressed with what he took from the experience.

A young girl sent Gabe a letter telling of her experience at the Tournament, which did not go so well. She tells of how she was really disheartened by the experience, and how reading his post really helped her.

What graphic card in the market provides the most bang for the buck?
I've been upgrading my desktop (codename Alpha) over the summer. Just about the only thing left that hasn't been upgraded is the graphics card, hence this question.
Alpha has been slowly been evolving into a a super Tivo (why else would I upgrade the data drive to 500 gigabytes among with everything else?) I got a Radeon 9550 (which is the orginal card). I do play games, but it hasn't been a primary concern. So, do any of you folks have any recommendations. Something in the $150 dollar range would do.

All right. J. Random Muggle is hiking the Scottish moors and discovers Hogwarts. The reason s/he can see it, is that s/he is immune to magic that would affect him/her directly. Winds up with a position as Professor of Muggle Studies.
