Two editorials on the Aqua Teen Hunger Force advertising (not to put too fine a point on it) f**k-up in Boston: Steve Jackson's, on the Daily Illuminator, where he points out that somebody in charge had to have known what they were doing; and Chris Nelson's, on The Register, where he points out that the Boston officials' overreaction may end up with one of the two people hired to put up the signs being denied political asylum.

Seems I've been accumulating a bunch of these, so here goes:
Wasn't That a Party
Irish Rovers
Could've been the whiskey
Might've been the gin
Could've been the three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in
My head is like a football
I think I'm going to die
Tell me, me oh, me oh my
Wasn't that a party
Someone took a grapefruit
Wore it like a hat
I saw someone under my kitchen table
Talking to my old tom cat
They were talking about hockey
The cat was talking back
Long about then everything went black
Wasn't that a party
I'm sure it's just my memory
Playing tricks on me
But I think I saw my buddy
Cutting down my neighbour's tree
Could've been the whiskey
Might've been the gin
Could've been the three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in
My head is like a football
I think I'm going to die
Tell me, me oh, me oh my
Wasn't that a party
Billy, Joe and Tommy
Well they went a little far
They were sittin' in my back yard, blowing on a sireen
From somebody's police car
So you see, Your Honour
It was all in fun
The little bitty track meet down on main street
Was just to see if the cops could run
Well they run us in to see you
In an alcoholic haze
I sure can use those thirty days
To re-cover from the party
Could've been the whiskey
Might've been the gin
Could've been the three or four six-packs,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in
My head is like a football
I think I'm going to die
Tell me, me oh, me oh my
Wasn't that a party
Power: makes everyone in area of effect suffer from a massive hangover, only police and other official peacekeepers are uneffected. On Warriors world, this was fine since the Warriors are in a sense law officers (international law, and they are closer to a SWAT team than beat cops, but still...) Even major supervillains aren't gonna be much of a threat when a simple shout leaves them wth a splitting headache.
The problem is that if he doesn't have some sort of 'official authority', it affects Doug as well (which might come as a surprise to him if he doesn't think about it beforehand).

Lyrics for Song: Battle of New Orleans
In 1814 we took a little trip,
Along with colonel jackson down the mighty mississip.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans,
And we fought the bloody british in the town of new orleans.
We fired our guns and the british kept a comin,
There wasnt bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.
Oh we looked down the river and we seen the british come.
There must have been a hundred of em beatin on a drum.
They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring.
We stood behind our cotton bales and didn?t say a thing.
Old hickory said we could take em by surprise,
If we didn't fire our muskets till we looked em in the eyes.
We held our fire till we seen their faces well,
Then we opened up our squirrel guns and gave em a little...well....we...
....fired our guns and the british kept a comin,
There wasnt bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.
We fired our cannons till the barrels melted down,
Then we grabbed an alligator and we fired another round.
We filled his head with cannonballs and powdered his behind,
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.
We fired our guns and the british kept a comin,
There wasnt bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.
We fired our guns and the british kept a comin,
There wasnt bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.

Well, it took me a bit, but I finally got done.
Name: SEV Pegasus
Created by Edward Dunkel
Registry Number: SEV 0001
Base Hull: Medea Transport Plane (Mobile Suit Gundam Referance)
Drive Type: Acceleration rated .05c / Emergency .1c
Owner of Record: Captain Drenivian
Flag of Record: Independant
Purpose: Transport and Space Repair Vessel
Launched: April 10, 2009
Crew: Captain Drenivian
Rio Onboard AI
Extra Stuff
Two EVA Suits (Shaped like the RX-78 and the R-1 Mobile Suits.) Small Wavium growth compartment.
Known Vehicle Quirks
Faster than she looks the Pegasus is faster than she looks, and she mounts a pair of emergency "wavedrive boosters for when Drenivian REALLY needs to get somewhere.
Stronger than she looks The frame of the Pegasus was Re-Inforced before the Wavium was applied to give the frame the added strength. Drenivian didnt want what happened to a Medea in the Mobile Suit Gundam series to happen to his.
Power Eater: The Emergency boosters eat the avaiable power and if left active for over 5 minutes, completely de-powers the craft. Rio maintains a lock on the panel except in what she decides is an emergency.
Ohhh. We Like: Members of the Gearheads faction have been known to hire the Pegasus just to get a look at it. Drenivian has promised to present it as a gift to a few members when his new ship is complete.
Known Crew Quirks
We Care: The Crew of the Pegasus listens to all emergency calls in space, and will respond to those that are close.
We Fixit: The crew of the Pegasus are interglactic fixit people and will fix most people's craft for a price.
Kinda, but no: The Crew is sympathetic to the Gearheads, Banzai Institute, and Crystal Millenum factions, but claims none as their own.
Faction: None
Homeport: Claims none.
Current Location: Landed at Grover's Corners
Status: ACTIVE
Trivia:
The SEV Pegasus was constructed in a Plane Graveyard.
Captain Drenivian spends half of his time EVA in the RX-78 suit gaining confidence in his EVA actions.
Captain Drenivian wears one of the EVA suits when piloting so that he can get used to the feel of them in gravity. Hes always thinking of ways of getting himself out of danger.
EVA Suits
Frame: Suit 1 - RX-78
Suit 2 R-1
Construction: Made to fit Drenivian. Suits where molded into the shape of both suits.
Donning Like BGC Hardsuits
Propulsion: Both suits have thrusters on the feet, backpack, and shoulders. They allow decient movement in space, and short hops in gravity.
Info: The backpacks contain Communications and Computer gear to allow communications with the Pegasus.
Defences: The Shells can take repeated hits with small space debris or maybe a bullet shot or two, but thats pushing the Structual Integrity, but never stops Drenivian from wearing most of the RX-78 EVA suit at business meetings.
Optional Equipment: A wide variety of Tools developed for space use. And a few Power Tools coated with wavium.
and one coilgun, with caseing to look like a beamrifle, two wavium treated swords, and a shield treated with 'wavium.
Trivia:
Drenivian is attempting to modify the R-1 EVA suit so that Rio is able to do more than be a backseat driver when hes EVA.

Character Info
Captian Drenivian and Rio, the Pegasuss AI
Captian Drenivian
Appearance:
Age: 27
Weight: 247
Height: 5"11
Clothes:
Notable Mundane Attributes:
EVA Experience Drenivian has extensive experience in Extra Vehicular Missions, mostly transport between two Fencraft.
Atmospheric Piloting Drenivian is an experienced pilot in Atmosphere.
Biomod
Newtype Drenivian is able to interface with radar and radio equipment with open Wi-Fi connections. Interferance gives Drenivian a headache and his radio can be called. His Radio connection is usually interfaced to the Planes Radio for the switchboard. (This was grown by prolonged exposure to the Wavium fumes during construction of the Pegasus.)
'Wavium Abilites:
Crafts Love Me: When using Handwavium to fix things, the strength of the fixed area enhanced a bit.
Quirks
Gamer Drenivian loves to take the time and learn Card/Video/Pen and Paper/Online games.
I need quiet! Drenivian prefers to have a space where he can be alone and quiet. This is how he relaxes after a hard days work.
Universal Best Friend Drenivian seems to be the Galactic Equivalent of a therapist, even though he has no training what so ever. People always seem to be able to open up to him, even after just a few minutes of meeting him.
Robotic Tinkerer Drenivian uses small amounts of Wavium in experiments to create a robotic shell. (His usual targets are the EVA suits, to make them more like BGC hardsuits, hes had little success)
General Description
Drenivian is a traveling handyman, who plies his trade throughout the inner planets. His craft, the Pegasus, is his personal workboat, while he designs his next craft, which will take the shape of the White Base class from Mobile Suit Gundam, which will enable him to service and transport more people throughout the plannets, and be a tender ship for the Star League.
Rio, the Pegasuss AI
Notable Mundane Attributes
Piloting Rio can pilot the SEV Pegasus independently while Drenivian is doing other things.
Accomplished Programmer Being completely a computer AI, Rio is an accomplished Computer Programmer.
Wavium Abilities
None
Quirks
Fiery Temper Rio is easily angered for an AI. When angered she loves to spam people with the most annoying music possible. This is also an effective tactic that Drenivian makes use of.When engaging, nothing beats a full frontal.

I know we as a general rule prefer the heroic side, but I was playing my Thugs/Poison MM over on Infinity, and I noticed something.
Disrespect, my character, is now the Leader of East Coast Infamous.
Since we still play the Hero side of Infinity a bunch, I'd like to suggest that we try to fill out the villainside - because really, I'm a lousy SG leader. I'm a lousy leader period - I can barely run teams.--

The old Faultline - Magnificent desolation |

While I have come to enjoy greatly the new Faultline Zone and wouldn't really want to go back to the old one per-se. I do feel like we lost some amazing views. I went there with Lora'Lai not long before the changeover at issue 8. Specifically to look around one last time. Took some screenshots. In going through them, I came across this one.
Oh... my... god...
Boomtown is desolation, but it looks like a standard warzone. The old Faultline defied physics and was a scene of COMIC BOOK destruction.
Like crossing the Grand Canyon with a Steve Ditko-like sense of geometry.
It would be nice if there was a time travel mission that allowed you to access the old Faultline. It still exists, you know. Just like the old Paragon Dance Party still exists. You just can't access it. But the code is there.
Just thought I'd post it for those who might not have ever bothered to take the trip down there before they changed it. -Logan

This should either produce a 600 foot diameter sphere of Absolute Silence, or a strange cacophonic mix of loud noises. Either way, it is guaranteed to mess with the concentration of people who need focussed thought to activate or use their powers.

Question for the zwilnik people- Valles, Griever, M Fnord? |

Hey, guys...
I have a question or two for you, since I don't want to upset anything you might have in mind for the zwilnik/thionite story threads, and I'm not sure who's handling the main thrust of these part of the plot.
First: Valles, I think your character had an attack on them on Venus, as part of an investigation there. Was that going from the Con to Venus, and if so, what day was it, Con-wise?
Second - what would be reasonable info for a thug to give out, after having several bad options pointed out to him, health-wise? Figuring a younger thug, so probably more vulnerable to persuasion. Not looking for much, but I wanted to run the idea past you guys, to see what you thought would be useful/reasonable to drag out of him. Possibly immediate boss, though how far up that would go, I have no clue. Is there any information in particular that you would like to release into the story, that a lower-level thug might be able to do so for you? Let me know, either through here, email, or IM? If I haven't already, I'll be sure to post all my contact info in that thread. Thanks.

They pull something like this.
What kind of fucked up country do you haveto be where this could ever be considered acceptable language from a public official? And Japan is having a population crisis? Japan, one of if not the most overpopulated countries in the world. They should be happy their population is dropping.
Ugh. I'm just going to go be offended in private now.
