I've googled but unfortunately, I've forgotten both the author and the title of the story.
It's basically an original fic roughly based on System Shock featuring a hacker who removes the ethics and moral limitations on SHODAN and wakes up to find the entire station deserted and trashed. Sort of cyber punk, sort of horror/mystery/Resident Evil vibes. I think it might have been recced on this board a long long time ago.
Anyone remember this?

I didn't notice until today, when I wanted to go and make archives of the many, amny bookmarked fics from FanFiction.net, because the author profile pages don't display properly on my PSP anyway, but even on the desktop machine, in Safari and IE both all I can see is the C2 panel below the author's profile, not their fics, friends, or reccomendations. Is anyone else having this problem? Has it been that way for long? Fic listings from C2s or fandom listings are fine, but that doesn't help when all my bookmarks are to profile pages...

I'd like to re-read the "Puck Files" (I'm pretty sure that's what it was called). Written by (Darren Steffler, I think) the author of that over-powered self-insertion cross-over fan fic "Twisted Path."
It was a about a highschool student who woke up one morning to discover he was one of a fraction of a percentage of the population who had suddenly developed super powers.

I don't really remember any details, except that in a typical 5-6yr/o-kill-the-demon-brat fanon mob attack, Naruto got his eyes put out, and the Kyuubi grew him a new pair roughly equivalent to Byakugan trading 360-vision for being always on without noticable chakra consumption. Naruto wears dark goggles, an bandanna, or his hitae-ate (after graduating) over them so as not to freak people out even more... I think it was pretty good, but I don't really remember. Probably from a year or two ago.

I wasn't going to mention this, until robkelk suggested Van Halen's Jump as a song which should be thoroughly off limits, since it'd induce suicide in everyone around. This one belongs in the same category, except that it's targeted to one person. Ruthlessness or no, I think triggering suicide is a bit too mean-spirited for Doug.

this may or may not have been asked before, but a quick search of the forum didn't reveal anything.
does anyone know of a handy tool that will download all chapters of a story on fanfic.net? pulling them one chapter at a time is somewhat tiresome for 40+ chapter epics...
