A woman got fed up with her mom watching Fox News, so she locked her out of that channel.  HAH! 

Okay, not a MAJOR thing, but annoying as hell all the same.

Apparently when replying to a PM that had multiple recipients, the default is for the reply to only go to the person that sent the PM.  To include the other recipients, you have to preview the message first, and then add them in again.

Any way to fix this?

I just got notice that there's a new version of MyBB.  I will probably update the board sometime early in the morning (my time, Eastern Standard, UTC-5) on Saturday or Sunday.  More likely Sunday.

Obviously, this is one that Doug would hope to Gate him back to Maggie, or perhaps be another sim song for her, but if not that (and I don't know if there's a rule of one simulacrum song per subject, but I'd kind of expect so since one use per day for a given effect is part of his core concept) someone associated with dawn or the immediate future seems appropriate, and AMS SKuld is the only character I can think of for that who would have a connection to Doug and might not be immediately disastrous since the sisters like him. Whistling up (most interpretations of) Lucifer for example would tend to be ... less than ideal. Maybe someone Doug got attached to and invested in helping despite having to slog through major difficulty during his journey?

Or, I suppose, it could be a version of We Didn't Start The Fire specific to his personal history, to help keep his goal clear in his mind. Mental exercises or not, after decades away some of the fine details would have to be wearing down like the grooves on a favourite LP. Widen the focus slightly to a general memory-enhancer like a personal Pensieve and it could be quite useful - I think I'll stick that into the thread title, actually. It also gives you a new way to do the inevitable "I've been on a long trip across worlds, here's the highlights" scene, and/or for exploring them himself when he finally unlocks the memories of his time with the Sailor Senshi. Also a great after-action review tool, of course.

A bit ago, I got into it with someone online that supported anti-Vaxxers. Eventually, I stated that even if it was, ostensibly, their right, I would personally hold such a person liable for damages caused should a child of mine get sick.

It shut them up pretty damn fast.

But then I got to thinking: could this really be an avenue that aggrieved parents could resort to in the wake of an outbreak caused by someone that did not vaccinate their child?


The legal eagles at Cornell seem to think so.

So what do you guys think?

I mentioned this in the "complaining about the weather" thread, but it bears repeating where everyone can see it -- at some point last night during the snow storm, our FIOS died.  Because the interior box is working just fine, we suspect that the heavy wet snow we had caused a disconnect somewhere outside, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow, when we have a tech coming to look at things. This includes not just Internet, but TV and phone.  So after work tonight I'll pretty much disappear for 14 or 15 hours.
