Ayway, to start it off, kathryn518's Invincible has recived a fourth chapter, putting it at ~110k. I've honestly forgotten what happens in it, but it came up on my FFn list and reading a few pages into the first chapter shows it to be of acceptable quality, so here it is.

HP/DC crossover apparently, though I don't know who "Nolan" is in that context with flying brick and adaptation powers (as in, a thing that hurts him once won't hurt him again.)

So, there's extras floating around the server that're apparently Leos doing. Including an entire new class called Sentinel. Haven't tried it yet, and I suspect I might not get to before the devs manage to pull it out (Apparently they're aiming to restore it to an I24 state). This means that even if the code is as big a mess as all the old stories claim, improvements are possible. Which makes me wonder what people will come up with, and want we want. Personally, I want more weapon models.

Going to leave history, politics, blame and shame, all of that to other threads - and there SHOULD be those threads. 

But the short form is - there is a functioning City of Heroes server.  Right now. And you can get to it.

Epsilon got me to go see Penguin Highway today. (It's playing in Ottawa all weekend.) It was a good movie, and slightly surreal in places.

The movie opens with penguins in a field. In Japan.

Our Hero is in 4th grade, and is the son of a scientist. When he tries to solve the mystery of "why were there penguins in a field in Japan?", things become downright odd.

I suppose I could spoil the movie for folks, ... but, no, this is a movie you should go see before learning anything about the plot.

There's one translator-induced error in it, though:

After seeing a particular Tenniel illustration, we start seeing a Jabberwock in the movie. The Japanese actors called it a Jabberwock. The subtitles, alas, called it a Jabberwocky... which means that the English version has a penguin being chased by a poem instead of by a monster.

So, dunno what news the old CoH crew has been following, but it seems the Hellions in Atlas Park might soon be getting a visit from a telekinetic catgirl archer again...
