I got home from work tonight and my desktop machine won't boot. It gets part-way through its startup but hangs before the BIOS kicks in.
A little research on my tablet suggests that this may be an easy fix -- a new CMOS battery, which I will take care of tomorrow. However, if it's not as simple as that, I may be a little scarce until I get it fixed.

It does assume you already know how to select and move things around, but a few minutes clicking on the pretty multicolored arrows in the default screen will let someone figue that out. The topic the seemingly simple but ever annoying art of getting a human head to look good, and does it in 340 triangles. (I could probably have cut that even more, but if there's one thing a player is going to be staring at for hours it's the back of their character's head, so I left an extra six or twelve quads there that could be snipped, plus eight tris on the back of each ear)

How do I save an entire forum? |

No, not this one. As I believe I've mentioned, SJGames won't be renewing their Traveller license. Thus, I'm worried that http://forums.sjgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16]the Traveller forum on SJGames Forums will be disappearing at the end of this year. It would be a shame to lose the good ideas, background points, and plotbunnies in those 2200+ threads...
What software do I need for an automated download of the forum, and how do I set it up to grab all the pages? If it makes a difference, the SJGames forum uses vBulletin software.

I was playing with Daz Studio, seeing what I could so, and came up with this young lady:
[img]http://web.ncf.ca/fm536/renders/fen-elf">
The slim limbs, pointed ears, and anime-style eyes indicate she's an elf. The shoes (all I had that would fit those "thin feet" morphs) hint she's not from a fantasy world. So... she's biomodded. I'm thinking the eyes allow her to see a full octave of "normal" and UV light, while the slimness of the limbs makes finding a form-fitting spacesuit "off the rack" difficult to impossible. And that's as far as I've got.
Does anybody need an elf in their supporting cast? If yes, here's one. If no, let's come up with a background for her together...

Since the writ has been dropped and we're now into an incredibly long (for Canadian politics) 78-day election campaign, I thought a thread would be appropriate.
Quoting from http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/federal ... -1.3178991
Quote:Our job is to listen carefully to what the candidates say, subtract the cartoon sound bites and decide which leader and which party are most likely to negotiate a deal that is in Canada's best interests. And on this issue, that is how we should vote.
("this issue" being trade, which is of course a big part of the economy)
Leaders' debate tonight - possibly the only one with all four parties' leaders taking part - will be streamed live on www.CPAC.ca
