I don't know why, but Yuku seems to have been experiencing a lot of server issues lately.  Just earlier I was getting a 500 error for just the DW Forums and nowhere else on Yuku.
Has anyone else been having trouble?

Don't ask why I was looking for something like this... because I'm not completely sure either.

I was just reading an HP fanfic, when it suggested Manannán mac Lir as the identity of Death in The Tale of the Three Brothers.
Get this:
Manannán has a powerful sword, Fragarach - The Elder Wand
Manannán has a cloak of invisibility, Féth Fíada  - The Cloak of Invisibility
Manannán is seen as the guardian of the Otherworld and one who ferries souls to the afterlife - The Resurrection Stone
Manannán is a sea/water god with a horse who could run over water the same as land - a possible connection to the bridge and the river in the story.
Just something to think about.

This is actually somewhat old news (being announced a month ago), but manga artist Shirow Miwa will be doing a manga version of RWBY for the seinen manga magazine Ultra Jump. Miwa previously contributed work to the "official RWBY fanbook" released in Japan last year, and will be working under Rooster Teeth supervision to expand on RWBY's backstory.

A long ways off But still, the location would be handy for me at least

I may have mentioned this before, but the local bid is currently ongoing, and it's been in the back of my mind since last weekend's Eirtakon to do what little I could to make people aware of it. Although I doubt many here will be going to Helsinki in 2 years time.

Anyway, they chaired a small panel at least weekend's Eirtakon which rather convinced me that their bid was a thing worth supporting - alongside the usualy snarky comparisons to the 'world' series of baseball and the like - and they seemed to have a nice ide of what sort of con they wanted to run.

Will four years out might be a bit early or presumptuous to plan a meet.... it could be a hoot.

Every year Peg and I try to get to whichever of the Harvard or Yale games is played at Princeton.  This year it's Yale, and I'm hoping we beat them as soundly as we did the last time we managed to see a Yale game.
Regardless, we'll have fun, eat out, get a Princeton sticker for the "new" (year-old) car from the U-Store, and generally enjoy ourselves.
If any of you will be watching on cable or whatever, Peg and I will be sitting on the "home" (West) side, in the last straight section before the stadium bends, about ten rows up.  We'll try to remember to wave.
