A Tidbit From Rather Far Out Yet...

"That's a really lousy picture of him," Xander said after a
moment. "I mean, it makes him look like some kind of monster.
But if you squint your eyes, you can see it's just him in his
biking leathers and helmet."

"Well, it *is* a medieval woodcut," Giles commented from over his
shoulder. "They are not exactly known for their photographic
accuracy." He tilted his head and studied the illustration for a
moment. "Although it certainly does look like it was made from a
second- or third-hand description, doesn't it?"

"Sort of like how the rhinoceros got turned into the unicorn, and
the tiger into the manticore, right?" Willow blurted, bouncing
excitedly in her seat.

"Yes," Giles replied. "Quite."

"So he's *not* a demon," Buffy said with an audible air of
relief.

"No, he's just drawn that way," Giles replied with a smug little
smile.

Xander snorted. "Jessica Rabbit he ain't."

Kerbal Space Program Version 19 is out
Posted by: Logan Darklighter - 03-19-2013, 07:36 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (10)

Just a few pics from the first couple of hours of play.
New Re-entry effects are epic. (though nothing can actually burn up yet). Here's an Eagle on it's way to making a successful landing back at KSC.

Here's the beginnings of my refueling way-station. Olympus Station is fully stocked and has 2 "Columbia" style CSMs and a "Rigel 2" CSM docked.

Jeb's in the Rigel 2 CSM and he's pretty excited.

"Heya Thomsel! How ya doing?"

"Oh, just hanging out."

Kerbals now have a wider variety of expressions. But none more so than Jeb.

If that grin gets any wider, his head's going to split in two. >.>

Remember one of my goals from way back when was to nail a landing on the KSC grounds? Well it's trivial with a powered ship like an Eagle. But it still takes a bit of finesse to aim ballistically with a basic capsule and nothing but a parachute at the end.

Well - I finally nailed it. This is the aforementioned Rigel 2 Capsule coming back from Olympus Station from 155 Km up.

I was just wondering if it was possible to make beamsabers for your mobile suit with Fenspace tech?

Villains & Vigilantes Creators Win Rights to Game

http://workbench.cadenhead.org/news/371 ... win-rights

So basically FGU has been selling V&V stuff illegally, and Jeff Dee and Jeff Butler are the real owners.

As Bob said, I believe, that Looney Tunes was originally a V&V character, I thought he might have some interest in this!Brazil has decided you're cute.

We're doing a quick contest over on the Daz3D forums - the person has to be wearing green, and there has to be a shamrock in the image. I thought I'd share my entry. (Folks who have read the Fenspace forum since yesterday evening will recognize the girl...)

Oops, it's 1800×2962 pixels. http://web.ncf.ca/fm536/renders/hillside_pinup.png]Have a link instead of an embed.

It's a quickie render, with no postwork to get rid of that shoulder problem, so yes I know it's still there.

  Julia Ecklar's new filk album

Just thought this might be of interest to some of you.  (Also, if you pre-order Horsetamer, you'll get 25% off any of any of Prometheus' other albums, which is nice)
Also, this is Prometheus Music's last album, which makes me rather sad.

The people who are members of the Cult of the Pink Beam of Befriending have not mentioned that the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 2nd A's is getting a physical release next Friday! I only discovered it was so when I wandered through my regular webstore for such things. So get moving if you haven't managed to pre-order for first pressing or the limited edition.

[RFC] Fate/Stay Night: While Under Seven
Posted by: Seraviel - 03-14-2013, 04:51 AM - Forum: Other People's Fanfiction - Replies (6)

-Edit : Fixed issue with tenses. Added description of Berserker's weapon.-Edit 2 : Fixed based on Florin & Deadpan29's comments.
I suppose [RFC] means something akin to story or review. I actually have no clue. Sorry if I happen to be misusing it.

Since quite a few people are posting stories lately, I'll pitch in and bring out one of my own. It's a F/SN AU inspired by Nerve Damage and What it takes to win, two great stories I recommend to everyone who likes F/SN.
Warning: Spoilers for Fate/Zero. If course, if you are a fan of F/SN, you have no reason not to have seen it.
So, without further ado, Fate/Stay Night: While Under Seven
Chaos theory said it best: the smallest of event can have the greatest of impacts.
But the actual start event, the first domino to fall, differs always. Sometimes it’s a dream, sometimes a curse, sometimes even finding a mentor.
And, some few times, it is a conversation.

  LHS 2520 Write-Up
Posted by: DeputyJones - 03-14-2013, 02:32 AM - Forum: Fenspace - Replies (2)
[/table]

In
20**, a group of Superfen took the long journey out to LHS 2520 and discovered
three bodies of interest around the star.

Vext

A searing hot, super-jupiter gas
giant (Class S in Starfleet terms), this gas supergiant's year lasts a mere two
weeks.

Krypton
Belt

A
dense asteroid belt right smack-dab in the middle of the goldilocks zone. Prior
to leaving, the Superfen expedition left behind a small memorial plaque on a
large asteroid they dubbed Argo.

Cythonna

A
frozen, lifeless rock that is just barely inside Rao's outer habitation zone. One
member of the original expedition wanted to call it Ma'aleca'andra, as it was "a
Mars with more ice."

Something that was originally brought up by Dartz and really needs to get onto the wiki. I've fleshed it out a bit more.
