Should you see it?
SOITENLY!
It was a funny throw back to the good old days of comedy without swear words or excessive bawdiness.
A well-done tribute to the classic shorts.
''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat
them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

(cue the Spike Jones song)
I was reading a first year fic just now, going over the usual roll of classes and reactions to them, and the thoguht struck me that someone charming Binns to drone about Second Impact instead of goblin rebellions is at least something I havn't seen anyone do yet. Of course, it does have several problems even before getting into methods for compelling a ghost, such as Evangelion's release date, and the fact that not even the muggleborn HP characters ever mention muggle media except when warnings of Serius being on the loose were conveyed by them as well as wizard outlets.
Still, the most important point stands - it's a Hogwarts prank that hasn't been done before, at least to my knowledge, and it's a sad fact that no matter how amusing modifying the cieling of the Great Hall or making everyone leave footprints in their house color was the first time, when repeated in several stories they just get stale.
Hmm, here's another - I don't think I've seen anyone make a little raincloud follow Snape around, brewing up lighting when he gets all upset and dramatic just to push it over the top.
- CD, wanders off to suggest these to the author of HP & The Lonely Princess

Mars Vegas
Located at the edge of the eastern edge of Candor Chasma, Mars Vegas grew from a pipe dream of a few Las Vegas Fen into a Fenspace Mirror of Las Vegas.
== History ==
All started out with a group of Las Vegan Fen, who previously worked in various casinos and hotels and managed to get some money with them to settle down near the edge of Candor Chasma in 2012, loudly proclaiming the foundation of Mars Vegas. Until 2014 Mars Vegas was little more then a couple of simple houses and a larger construction base where a hotel and casino complex was build, based on the Sands Hotel, the later Red Sands Hotel and Casino.
During the mid 2014, more activity came to Mars Vegas after a group of Trekkies awoke Vic Fontaine, who subsequently moved to Mars Vegas to rebuild his Vic's Mars Vegas Lounge, through in this case it extended into a casino and hotel complex.
With two larger complexes being build, there was a third player drawn into Mars Vegas, the Fenspace White-Hat Mob, who decided to build a copy of the Stardust Casino.
Three large hotel casino complexes resulted in more interest to Mars Vegas, and the expected tourist traffic made a local space port needed, as well as homes for anyone working in those complexes, allowing Mars Vegas to grow quickly and eventually get its own energy dome to allow normal operation within city limits.
With the space port finished, the three complexes opened within just two month, first being the Red Sands, followed by Vic's and finally the Stardust.
While Vic's hosted Vic Fontaine and the Stardust hosted a number of successful shows, the Red Sands at first did not have a native show, until the owner decided to go for a radical idea, by bringing the Rat Pack to the Red Sands. Originally they were only intended to be anthropomorphic rat (Rat Pack after all) marionettes based on Vulpine Fury's work and controlled by a central computer, but the waving them made them awaken as AI's.
As a direct result the Rat Pack became active part in Mars Vegas.
== Mars Vegas Turf War ==
The Mars Vegas Turf War is not really any sort of war as such, but rather a Tourist attraction. Most tourists however do not know that however.
It largely involves groups from one hotel complex 'raiding' another, by butting into a running show and disturbing it. It's not possible to predict who disturbes whom.
== Mars Vega Security ==
'What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.'
Between the Mob, the Rat Pack and Vic Fontaine's crew Mars Vegas deals with any actual criminal problems by themselves. Between 2015 and 2018 there were five known attempts of Zwilniks to get a foothold in Mars Vegas, but within 24 hours they were delivered in an unmarked airtight 20 foot container to the Space Patrol Station in Port Lowell.
One Zwilnik group that dealt with catgirl slaves were catgirled with their memories intact. The Mars Vegas City Council (Frankie, Vic and Don Vincento) denied any involvement in that incident, through all three casinos had gained a number of well payed catgirl hostesses.
There is also one rumor of one Zwilnik group being found dead at the foot of the Mars Vegas cliff because they dealt with something worse then catgirls. No one knows if those rumors are true however.
There was also one incident with Zwilniks that involved Space Patrol Section Six.

On April 30th, 2012, you will no longer have access to your free FortuneCity website. To continue with your site, we recommend ordering a Dotster hosting plan. If you order by April 30th, use coupon code FORTUNE80 at checkout to take 80% off a new hosting plan.
/End Quote/
If there is something you like lingering on a abandoned free Fortune city web page you had better visit it and save what you want before April 30.
It would probably also be a good idea to check up on the free sites that have not been abandoned and find out what the site owner's plans are.

First - look at the ORIGINAL 1974 opening credits in the first video. Then the NEW Yamato 2199 remake!
IMHO, the opening credits by Hideaki Anno are full of win! Every attempt
is made to keep it as close as possible to the original show's opening -
down to sound effects, camera shots, etc. Wave-Motion Gun is quite
arse-kicking. There is a shot of the ship and planes flying over
Jupiter's moon Europa - could they be replacing Titan with Europa? And,
of course, welcome back Isao Sasaki - we missed you!
(EAR SLAM WARNING - The sound quality on the original isn't quite the best it could be. It starts off a little low and then gets LOUD with a touch of feedback. Careful if you are wearing headphones!):
