I'm sure there's a simple, easy-to-implement solution to this, but I've been managing more than coding lately so I can't remember what it is...
I want to be able to plug a USB drive into computer #1 running WinXP and have copied to the USB drive only the files that have been added or altered since the last time the drive was plugged in. Files that have been deleted should not be removed from the USB drive. Computer #1 does not run any scripting language.
I want to be able to plug the same drive into computer #2 running WinXP and have copied from the USB drive only the files that have been added or altered since the last time the drive was plugged in. Files that have been deleted should not be removed from computer #2.
What am I looking for?

Details on the new Trial, another that's going into testing for 22, new incarnate powers, some general tweaks and quality of life improvements... oh, and a little thing that's driven the entire player base into a white hot rage of screaming and crying (Except the people I play with regularly for some reason.)
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthre ... ost3945734
Okay, so you don't have to dig through to find the DOOM element, here it is.
Incarnate Rewards
• Behavioral Adjustment Facility will no longer award Empyrean merits to players who have earned their Lore slot.
? That character will thereafter receive 2 Astral Merits for the first daily completion, and 1 Astral in subsequent runs.
• Lambda Sector will no longer award Empyrean merits to players who have earned their Destiny slot.
? That character will thereafter receive 2 Astral Merits for the first daily completion, and 1 Astral in subsequent runs
More then anything else in a long time, this has people screaming they'll QUIT FOREVER, because the devs are EVIL and HATE FUN. This is despite the fact that the difficulty of Keyes is being dialed down, the Underground has been tweaked several times, and there's two more Trials on the way that both offer two emp merits on completion the first time each day, and then another emp merit every time after that. The main reason for the screaming is slightly reasonable, in that it's going to cost emp merits to unlock the new Incarnate power trees, and the cost on Beta is currently 15 merits. But at the same time, using all the trials in the game, that's two days work, a week if you take it easy.
But yeah. DOOM for all. Me, I just want my 'Boot to the Head' Judgement.

hokay, so I got myself a real headscratcher going on here. See all the gory details here on Launchpad: http://answers.launchpad...e/grub2/+question/174986
Seriously, I don't think the memory has got anything to do with it seeing as how Windows doesn't give me that problem and pulling the drive and booting from USB 'resets' things. I think it's really odd in that it doesn't let me boot from any CD at all. Not even my 100% legitimate, store-bought copy of Windows 7.
Thoughts? Right now considering upgrading from 11.04 to 11.10. And if that don't work I'll go back down to 10.04LTS.

5th year or Controlling to Cartoon Evil Dumbledore setup, he (or Toad in 5th yr) becomes very concerned because Harry's been sending and recieving a lot of messages to a group identified on as (dun dun dun) the BUREAU. Worse still, he seems to be recruiting for (dun dun dun) the BUREAU from his fellow students, holding meetings where they brew or prepare various substances and consume them, acting secretive and occasionally giddy in a shared-secrets-aren't-we-clever sort of way, etc. Various hijinx involving attempts to spy on (dun dun dun) the BUREAU and/or infiltrate the group ensue, until the climax when it's revealed that the BUREAU (dun dun dun) is actually the Banannalogical Understanding Research Education Appreciation & Utilization club, and they've been designing an entire meal of bananna dishes to have the House Elves serve on April First, or some wizarding version of All Fools' Day, or just to lighten things up around exam time. (Dun dun daaAAaaAA!) Obviously, this is oneshot or filler chapter material.

I don't think it'll be a problem for our regular folks, given that Spud, V, Uni, and myself essentially powered four newbie alts to level 20 in a single day (4 sewer trials, Posi 1 and 2), and weren't hit with it.

Jack in, let's spread some hate
Handout of pain awaits
Oh my, the fire rate, we'll need those supply crates
Stock up on weapons and ammo before you go
Do we make our own fate?
Do we retaliate?
Should we surveil the gate?
Play house and police state to keep all those imaginary wolves at bay?
Time for the final blow, last stand, now go, go, go
The time for running now is over
You will reap what you sow, payback for what you owe
No more, we won't just hand it over
Do we shape our own truth?
Do we lie to our youth?
Do we place our own creed above our enemy's?
We tell our children who to hate and who to be
Time for the final blow, last stand, now go, go, go
The time for running now is over
You will reap what you sow, payback for what you owe
No more, we won't just hand it over
Time for the final blow, last stand, now go, go, go
The time for running now is over
You will reap what you sow, payback for what you owe
No more, we won't just hand it over
In for the final blow, last stand, now go, go, go
The time for running now is over
This ain't no tic tac toe, you will be thoroughly owned
You are outnumbered ten times over
I dunno if it's much of a power song - maybe Emotion Control: Bolster Allies/Demoralize Enemies? I suppose it could be used to suck one or more targets into a VR first person shooter. It's a nice battle theme, even if there's no direct superpower effect.

ETA: Perhaps it acts like an "infinite ammo" powerup, if Doug or an ally in his AoE is using weapons which need it. Of course, such ammunition would be subject to the same rules as anything Doug conjures, but that's not such a terrible limitation with something that's literally one shot use.

| Looking for help with music trivia |

I don't know whether this counts as "cheating" or "clever use of an existing social network", but I figure if anybody can help me answer some music trivia questions and win a prize, then so can the folks here.
In the DAZ3D Forums, music2u4u Wrote:MINI CONTEST TIME!
ok...maybe this will help pick things up. Seems I can't get any donations from anyone or even three judges this year so maybe this will help.
This is the usual MUSIC TRIVIA MINI CONTEST I do each year. I have posted some renders of the prize back a page or two, my new Basic Room 2011. The idea is to answer all 10 questions correctly. You post all 10 at once and I will respond a "YES" or a "NO". The first one to get all 10 correct will win. If you miss, you can still go back and change any answers and post again. It will continue until there is a winner. So here are the 10 questions:
1 - What song released back in the late 60s had an effect so huge, it changed America forever? (Probably the biggest impact on this country ever.)
2 - What song was a milestone and turning point in the way music was played in America?
3 - What famous musician, known by all, is now broke and living in the streets homeless?
4 - What musician was asked to join the Beatles, but turned down the offer because they did not like Paul McCartney's way of calling it "his band"?
5 - What 3 well known country artists used the same studio band on all their albums in the 1990s rise of country music?
6 - What famous artist was once a drummer for pre Motown Gordy records and played on may of their records, inventing the double time snare "soul beat" used on so many songs back then?
7 - What famous Bass player, who played in a few very well known bands in the 1970s, was quoted as saying..."I never recorded a single part of a single song sober!"
8 - When the Doors finally broke up, two of it's members formed another band and recorded an album. Who were the two members and what was the name of the band they formed?
9 - What artist was originally suppose to play bass for the group "The Monkees" but got sick and was replaced by Peter Tork?
10 - Who played bass on many of the old Motown hit songs we hear everyday, and had something unusual about them that was different from all the other bass players. This person also played on many movie scores and on most of all those tv theme songs we grew up with in the 60s and 70s. They have over 300 popular songs alone they played on we hear on the radio everyday, even ones you thought were the band members but was really this person. Name the person and say what was so uniquely different about them.
ok, those are the 10 questions. Remember to answer them completely and you can always go back and change your answers and repost again.
Good luck all.

I'm pretty sure the answer to #1 is Alice's Restaurant Massacree (Arlo Guthrie, 1967) - it changed the common man's attitude to the Vietnam War draft, and to the draft in general.
I think I know the answers to #2 and #9, but I'm not sure so I won't post them here - yet.
The others... haven't got a clue. Anyone care to help?

Why is it useless? Well, on the Walk Doug is already not aging, and when it's over he only stops aging while the song plays. There are conceivable circumstances where it could be useful, such as to counter a premature-aging spell/power/mad science raygun, but on the whole... not nearly as cool as it sounds.
