  Windows .hlp files
Posted by: ECSNorway - 08-07-2010, 03:57 AM - Forum: General Chatter - Replies (5)

So, I have this document. It's set up as a series of old-fashioned Windows .hlp files, hyperlinked heavily and the like.
I want it to be readable on my PDA, an HP iPaq running Windows Mobile 6 Classic.
Anyone got a workable, preferably FOSS, reader available?
ETA: Yes, I know that there are convert-to-RTF tools out there. That's not in the slightest what I want. I don't want to change the format, I want a program that'll run on the PDA and read the files as they are.

Just found out about this... this device is full of win and awesome. The applications are many and far-reaching.  One thought that immediately occurs to me - could exoframes that allow disabled people better mobility be right around the corner?
Or even true mecha?

Brian Blessed has just been contracted to do voice tracks for Tom Tom. This makes me almost willing to get a GPS system.

Why is the message board removing all formating information?

Lately every message I post is a solid block of text with all spaces, tabs and returns removed.

From Tor, of all people... Apparently, they're starting a graphic novel line.

A few fics have been on my mind lately, ones I saw in passing a while back, thought might have some potential, but haven't seen since and I can't find them again.
1) A webcomic of a Mario Bros AU.  The Koopas snatched Luigi as a baby and he grew up to be the right-hand man of Bowser.
2) Bleach, of the Ichigo ends up as Espada type.  The one I'm specifically thinking of has Harribel's canon trio of fraccion as Ichigo's crew.
3) Teen Titans.  Trigon apparently dropped the destroyer-of-worlds gig to become more of a Lex Luthor type, raised Raven, Starfire is her bodyguard.  Dick Grayson is in town for a business meeting with him.  Cy and BB get a mysterious gift of a genie (Jinx).  Cue intersecting courses and mayhem.

No, I don't believe the world has gone mad.  In order for it to go mad it would need to have been sane at some point.

If I every want to be Batman so badly that I hand over my personal information to a non-authenticated source I hope someone whips out a can of bat-anti-fat-sarcastic-canadian-bastard spray and puts me out of my misery.

...that is WoW!

I picked up StarCraft 2 today and found inside the box, multiple cards of guest passes - two each for WoW & SC2. Anyone interested or is the philosophical disagreement for what the new management tried to do just too great.
Other than that why did I buy it, I like RTS's and I've been playing 'em since Dune 2 and have even finished playing the campaigns of some (Supreme Commander-series mostly for there I can turtle & curbstomp to my hearts content).

Codes, if wanted will be emailed.
