Yes, well, I won't say I had that planned, but now that you've stuck the bug in my ear, there's a possibility that International Rescue, Ltd.
could be a legal entity in which the Banzai Institute has invested some capital.
(Moved out of the stories to a beter spot for discussion fermentiation)

Ever think more about this, since the DTS says it was from over a year ago?

Definatly there'd be a need for it, and Handwavium would explain a WHOLE lot... including why a lot of Brain's stuff ONLY worked right when IR hands;
as well as some of the more absurd power requirements that just dont feel like they'd fit in the expressed hullform. In fact, the more I think about it,
90% of their backstory COULD be covered with few or no changes... Though one of the points that DOES need deep thought is just how all this affects the design
and concept of Thunderbird 5...

Thanks to the superb illustrated guide at http://www.llamma.com I was able to open up my long-past-warranty mk1 PSP and
diddle the remains of the Wifi switch that broke in the OFF position a couple years back, meaning I now have two fully functional units. They have all the
other modern consoles too, if you're having a hardware problem or just want to see what's inside w/o risking a butterfingers moment. - CD is doing

  Disappearing Fic?
Posted by: Bob Schroeck - 08-25-2009, 01:35 PM - Forum: Other People's Fanfiction - Replies (27)

Okay, this is a little weirdness that happened to me on Sunday; I've been meaning to write about it for two days but I kept forgetting...
Sunday morning I was on Twisting the Hellmouth; on the New Updates page I came across a Ranma/Stargate SG-1 crossover in which Ranma apparently fell into the pool of drowned Replicator Queen, and by the time he gets to the Tendos he has drones all over Europe and Asia that are fighting crime and rescuing people from fires and all kinds of disturbingly non-replicatorish behavior.
I was a few chapters in when we had some kind of power glitch that locked my system.  I had to reboot, but when I got back to TTH to continue reading, the fic had apparently disappeared.  I could not find it on the Updates page any more (and no, it wasn't at the very bottom where it would scroll off), and attempts to search for it failed.  I know I wasn't imaginging this, so I must be screwing up somewhere.  So I'm hoping someone here knows the fic I'm describing and has a bookmark.  Help, please?

  Charecter Proposal....
Posted by: Star Ranger4 - 08-24-2009, 06:35 PM - Forum: Fenspace - Replies (14)

The 'MAD' Scientist....

Not mad in the 'Insane' way, more like he's constantly angry.

Why? because Murphy Murphy is a walking conundrum. If things can go wrong for him, they will; until its time to save the day or otherwise dramatically
neccecary! (Think champions here, three levels of Luck and 3 of Unluck!) Handwavium both loves him and hates him... or so he thinks. Why? because whatever
he works on JUST DOESNT WORK until the very last second (Dramatic neccecity) or he's so frustrated at it he's ready to blow his brains out!

Feedback? Suggestions? Did someone already think of something similar and I missed it?

  Acyl Art Redux
Posted by: Acyl - 08-24-2009, 10:29 AM - Forum: The Legendary - Replies (34)

Rather than zombie-revive my old art thread, here's a new one for pieces I'm working on. For the moment, requested by Micro - a forum sig image type thing:-
[Image: microsigblank.jpg]
It should be noted I drastically overshot the mark for this - the actual coloured drawing is...considerably larger.
Check out my preferred display version or the full-sized raw file. I didn't insert the images into the post, because they're of considerable width and might break forum formatting for folks that view stuff in windows or lower screen res.
This was an attempt at high-gloss colouring. Or shiny shiny, if you prefer. I'm not very good at it, I know.
Also, a couple of non-CoH images:- Swordwoman and Sky Pirate

The next few posts will likely be remaining pieces for MicroHue and Terr/Sweno/Sofa, stuff from a few months ago that I'm finally getting round to completing.
Terr/Sweno/Sofa: in addition to the faux comic cover, there's a pencil study of your character trio I've done...I'll almost definitely scan that at some point; it's wildly inaccurate to your character designs, actually - but call it an Ultimates or alt-U version or somesuch. I actually like that better than the actual 'final' image.

  Ecchi remakes are wrong!
Posted by: robkelk - 08-23-2009, 11:59 PM - Forum: General Chatter - No Replies

So http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... in-october]the upcoming Mahoromatic two-part special probably won't be ecchi.

At least, no more ecchi than the original series was. (One can hope...)

  Speaking of retconning...

As occasionally happens over on the SJGames forums, somebody asked abut IST - this time, in relationship to Infinite Worlds. Of course http://forums.sjgames.com/showpost.php? ... tcount=277]I replied, mentioning Drunkard's Walk, Fenspace, and Legend of Galactic Girls (none of them by name).

But one of the things I wrote there got me thinking: "Worse, when an Infinity agent pretending to be a local interviewed one of the locals who'd interacted at length with the visitors, ..."

And I remember that I've already introduced to Fenspace a character who has (a) reason to interview people, (b) no history before 2010, and (c) no visible means of support.

So... http://fnord.sandwich.net/fenwiki/doku. ... aico_tange]Maico Tange, Infinity Corps Agent-In-Place in Gernsback-2?
