In a browse through the attention-devouring vortex, I came across the "Humans Are Cthulhu" page and a reference to a poorly-remembered Lovecraft parody
wherein the main character explores an impossibly ancient temple risen from the sea and is driven mad by the statue he finds there. I've read that story
myself, and not too long ago at that, but I can't for the life of me remember who wrote it or what it was called. All I can give you is the last line:
"The creature's horrible five-fingered hands and five-toed feet were nailed firmly to a great stone
cross!" ^.^
Pretty sure the author was someone in the Big Name Fan range, and my memory keeps defaulting to Frank Kelly Freas but that doesn't seem quite right. Can
anyone help?

Big Bad Rommy does -not- appreciate your Rise to the Challenge. Big Bad Rommy will stomp you flat, ignoring all others, if you use it in his presence.
On the plus side, Scraps can juggle-tank Rommy with another scrapper as long as she leaves it turned off. If it's on, Rommy squishes the catgirl.
I suspect it's the -ToHit component that angers him so. Scraps pulled aggro off Gen just by walking nearby with it running, and Gen out-damages her quite
a bit.
It also pisses off the spawned Lil Fuzzies, and presumably the Big Fuzzies, but when it was running she didn't get a chance to test that; all of the little
ones dogpiled the catgirl before she could get near enough to see if she could pull aggro from the big ones.
But after I got smart and turned it off, yeah, survivability's not a problem. Strength of Will, unslotted, allows a lowly catgirl to weather the
Rommy-storm. Soon as she turned Rise to the Challenge back on, though, ow. SquishKitty.

I'm looking to get a firey halo for Tokiha Mai and an angelic one for Halo Kitty, but I'm worried that I won't be able to find enough candy canes
before the event ends (Mai has 12 or so, I think; Kitty has none). I've already been the appreciative recipient of a massive candy cane donation for
Evangelia, so I can understand if folks are hesitant, but if anyone wants to throw extra canes toward either of those characters, I'd be very grateful.

It's that time again! No, it's not time to spin the Wheel of Morality (TM), it's time to select panelists for the Anime Central 2009 Fanfiction
Panel!
Anime Central (www.acen.org) will take place on May 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. If you're going to be attending Acen and
you're interested in being on the panel, please send the following information:
1. Your name or preferred handle.
2. Your real name, if different.
3. A list of your preferred works, including any you may have written in the past year.
4. The URL of your website, if any, or where your works can be found.
5. If you've been on a fanfic panel before, and if so, where.
6. (OPTIONAL) Why you'd like to be on the panel.
Please private mail me at pmui1@NOSPAMPLEASE.prodigy.net by March 8 if you're interested. The panel will be selected shortly after that.
(I'm sure you know what to remove--it's in capitals.)
Hope to hear from you soon!

On the main page for Drunkard's Walk, the link to Rob Kelk's list of fanfics is broken. I messed around with
the url a bit, and found that it is "http://robkelk.ottawa-anime.org/links.shtml" when it should be
"http://robkelk.ottawa-anime.org/links.html". There is an 's' where there shouldn't be. I
thought I should mention it.

Is there a master list of day jobs somewhere, or is it necessary to compile one?
Just curious.
