Assuming they're posting under their real names? This right there should disqualify them from owning anything more dangerous than a spud gun. Depending on how, you know Canada does it. I mean, I assume you's aren't like the States on that in that there's some semblance of sense

Real name or pseudonym - Facebook can and does track their posting so that they can deliver targeted advertising, and I'd be very surprised of FB can't tie that to an IP address. If anybody involved in the groups breaks the law, they become a terrorist group (see here) and it's simply a matter of a couple of warrants (one to Facebook, one to the ISP) to get the terrorists' identities.

And, yes, one needs a license to own a firearm in Canada. Here's the relevant legislation.
