Well we finally have a new computer system in the base. This is no longer that dinky little control room. This is a COMMAND CENTER.

According to the description of the new unified computer system piece that I installed, this is a full AI. And me and Acyl were standing there talking about
the possibilities. Of maybe having a character made who would actually be the human interface persona of the system AI. The first thing I said was "we are
NOT naming this thing Durandal, just to get that out of the way right off the bat!" ^_^

But that inevitably led to comparisons with Canal from Lost Universe and Cortana from Halo. So maybe...

Anyway, take a peek at the new center while you're in the base! I'm proud of the way this one looks!

According to DailyTech, the Florida Supreme Court has sent Jack Thompson an "Order to
Show Cause" regarding his making a nuisance of himself in the courts:

I've done some interesting mods to my City of Heroes client-side over the months and years I've been playing. This is one of the more fun applications.

Unfortunately at the moment, I can't remember precisely where I got this app from in terms of URL. But I'm pretty sure someone here at the forums was
the one who pointed it out. But it's called City of Heroes Splasher. Basically, you can take any screenshot (or art in general) as long as it is 1024x768
and have this program replace the standard City of Heroes/Villains opening screenshot with one of your choice. In addition, you can replace in-game MUSIC as
well. And this goes for any bit of music in the game, if you can find the file for it. (DON'T try and replace the Pocket D music with some incredibly long
ambient mix, like I did. That just makes the damn program hang for AGES while it loads. But as long as it's reasonably short, like a standard 2-5 minute
song, it won't do too badly.)

So what have I done? Well, I replaced the opening music to the game (that sort of ponderous "heroic march" on the Heroes Side) with the Justice
League Unlimited theme, and made the following screen:

On the Villains side, the log in music is replaced with the Berg Katse theme from Gatchaman 94. And the screen looks like this:

Once I'm at the Hero Select screen, the view is again changed from that boring blue city outline to something that highlights my character in an
appropriate manner.
